AAA games releasing as Early Access games should go.
its an episodic however full release game coming at the end of year
no body complain about early access of life is strange
@ghosts4ever: Makes much more sense for that game. When's the last time we had a Hitman game that released in pieces?

Agreed, it makes sense for Life Is Strange and Telltale like games. (I still wait before all episodes are out before I purchase those anyway)
But if even Remedy was like: Well, we're gonna do our Quantum Break like a TV show and sell it to you in pieces, while asking for 60 bucks up front I would be like: **** this shit ! I'm out !

they are also releasing full fledge game by the end of the year.
I don't like the idea of this new Hitman game being done in episodic format cause it may shorten the game, think about it..
Each episode will cost approximately $10-15, if the total cost comes up to $60, then that leaves us with 6 episodes.. that sounds like a short game.
Even if they ruined Hitman absolution im still excited for this game. IO interactive are very talented developers.
If it was made by someone like ubisoft than i would assume it would be not be good. because unlike Hitman. Splinter cell can never be good again unless its in the hand of ubisoft.
Hitman going episodic isn't a big deal, since the series has always featured lots of separate distinct missions that don't need to be played back-to-back.
I might jump in for the first segment of the game. It sounds like they've absolved themselves of Absolution's sins.
Fantastic engine. If its as good as it looks, this will be my first hitman purchase since blood money

It does look good I'll admit. They either have a very good game on their hands or someone who understands how to make effective trailers, and the gameplay footage so far only goes to reinforce the former. I'm very tempted to pre-oder the beta, it's been a long time since a good Hitman.
It's reassuring to hear they've implemented a sub-class gameplay mechanic for the NPCs in determining how useful the disguise is. Sounds like now only enforcers and heads of security will be able to recognize 47, so he'll be able to walk around much more freely.
I hope they redesign or remove the scoring system from Absolution. There should be no score detraction as this is a franchise that encourages many different methods of play. I wouldn't mind so much if it were just bonuses given, but It's stupid to allow so much freedom and then penalize players for utilizing it.
They got the look of the Hitman wrong...
Honestly this looks pretty bad and unfinished for letting people show off a hands-on preview.

My thoughts as well, it looks patchy in alot of places, the hair stands out hugely and very poor, the game almost has a cartoonish look to it.
Sounds like its being a proper Hitman game. Shame about the whole episodic thing though.
Game will be no longer episodic once full game will out before the end of the year

But if everyone ends up waiting for the full version, there is a chance that SE cuts this game mid development, because it ain't selling well enough for them.
So it's a situation where everyone ends up losing.
I was looking forward to Alekhine's Gun reviews on 9th Feb, didn't know the game has been delayed to March XD, losing interest in Hitman GZ Denuvo beta day by day. :D Just kidding why is the PC version later then the PS4? coughs*.... console port .... coughs* $ony > money > Screw Enix. Shitman( weird character model) does come with platform exclusive dlc. Mixed feelings about optimization. lol DLCs after final release ? All this f**king DLC and monthly payments for a simple game.

I don't fear a bad PC version tbh. Square Enix works together with Nixxes for all their PC versions. And they always do a tremendous job.
So the only reason the PC beta is later and there is no Xbone beta, is because money changed hands.

Hitman's a proven property. I'm sure the budget and commitment to a full-fledged release was made far before the decision to release it episodically entered the picture. Plus, if the full game is supposed to be out this year the content to come at this point is far into production that would probably end up costing SE a lot more money to scrap than complete and sell. They're past the point of no return speaking from a business perspective.

Let's hope so. Otherwise it would be a big issue for the people already buying into this.
And it would spell the death for AAA episodic games, if the first game to do this dies too fast.

Hitman alpha left bitter taste in the mouth performance wise. PC version lacks mouse and keyboard support, when launched Hitman, it said "You need Xbox 360 compatible controller to run...; press Y to continue." :D I know that's alpha but if base is wrong then ..., i hope for the best. ;)
A friend of mine sent me an email that included this pertaining to a real world subject matter we discuss.... figured I'd share this in this thread lol..

No they won't.
Looks good, too bad it's only a tenth of a game on release. I think I'll buy this late 2016 when it's complete.
