I have zero - little interest in the Vita... but I'd still buy one over a iPhone or iPad, for gaming purposes
I doubt it will beat the Exynos 5250.... That should end up being the superior SoC this year. Everything I have read abouttegra 3 has beendisappointing. I think they are coming out with Tegra 3+ and Tegra 4 later this year.

Or you can get one of these. The superior handheld.

It may not have the biggest games, but so far its been the best handheld gaming device I've ever had. I'm planning on grabbing an iPad 3 too. Its very hard to imagine myself carrying a big dedicated handheld console now days. My iPhone is my everything device while i'm out, its nice to have everything in one place.

I have an Iphone 4, and it's a great phone and there are tons of awesome apps for the thing, but gaming is not one of its strong suits. That said, mobile gaming doesn't really appeal to me, but I did play around with a Vita at the store and was pretty impressed with it.

It does have the most apps and games that I would want to play on a phone. Eveything just works I guess. But I do like android as well for the customization and freedom it offers. But the apps are just not there.

iPhone is very underrated here, it's a great gaming device IMO.
Endless list of good games.

It's got a bunch of fun games, though I would love to have those games with physical controls. :PI really don't understand how people can profess to wanting an iPad 3 and then simultaneously say that dedicated handhelds are too large to carry around... :/
Tablets are, frankly, the stupidest thing Apple ever managed to convince consumers they needed.

Had ipad for a week, then the gimmick wore off, then I returned it.

Thinkpad laptop>>>>>>>>>Ipad and all tablets

The only thing which tablets proved to be useful for is browsing while your lying on the couch + reading ebooks other than that they are useless.

It's limited in that way, but it's also open in terms of development. The countless indie games are a display of that, and I hear they're bringing Limbo over to the iPhone/iPad. Now that'd be one heck of an experience :o
Physical controls would be nice, but it just wouldn't work. iPhone is simplicity at its finest.
that water in Shadowrun looks more like a water bed effect then bullets hitting actual water.
I'll stick to my Vita for now. Got an Iphone as well but as far as dedicated gaming on-the-go goes, i think Vita will serve me very well.
without the tactile buttons on the Iphone i can't seem to stick to playing on it. ironically the one game i've played for the longest on my Iphone has been Ace Combat XI which uses the motion sensing to manuever around. All others just bore me after a while.

Now you're just talking crazy. :P
I have countless games that would be much better with physical controls, obviously some games work better with touch/gyro controls, but those aren't the games I'm talking about.
I'd take Gravity Rush over all of those games.
Tikeio
exactly, aside from sonic all those games shown look like straight ass...
Yeah, no. Until tablets become comfortable gaming devices with sticks and buttons, I can't take them seriously. JustPlainLucasYou mean project fiona? :p

ROFL  no, just no. It's a phone, not a real gaming handheld. "real gaming" What does that mean and what relevance does it have to people who play games on the device? Maybe this could be explained to the people on the iPhone and Android boards at the top of this web page, but somehow I don't think that holds any importance outside of SW.[QUOTE="SilverChimera"]

Guys you know you can use a ps3 controller on an android tablet. There is a sixaxis app on the android marketplace, so using a controller on an android tablet is highly possible. mystic_knightThe app can connect a controller to compatible devices, assuming you have a way of plugging your USB cord to sync the controller to the device, but it's not universal. Droid ICS supposedly will be able to support most any type of bluetooth controllers.
