I agree. I was playing chess, but I had pretty much forgotten how to play. It was pretty embarassing. I loved playing checkers on MSN though. Great fun, no one ever beat me :P.

I,ll be a little more modest than you...My win/lose ratio is 50:1 I would gladly show you if it had it for HOME.
I think checkers is in one of the other territories and it is one of the most requested games for Home so I am sure they can implement it no problem. Also , one has darts and people seem to want that as well for NA so we'll probably get that too.
Card/poker tables are one of the most requested things so I think there might be a good chance for that in the future. People also want pinball machines , air hockey/foosball tables , all kinds of other games.
You should see some of the crazy suggestions for things in Home over at Sony's site , lulz.

I actually happen to have quite a few tournaments/regular games at my house. That wouldn't stop me from playing with people in HOME if it was available. I love Poker and having it available as an activity in HOME would be cool. I would be able to play poker with people I normally wouldn't play with.

With my friends, I beat them at checkers everytime and it gets boring. Thats why people play chess/checkers/cards online, for the challenge.

QFT. A lot of posters here seem to take one of the beauties of the internet (long distance connectivity), and turn it into a negative.
Like an above poster said, we need a poker table and stuff. Better yet, an entire casino with a selection of games, where you can exchange trophies for tokens or something, and if you win enough tokens from gambling, you can exchange them for something from the PS Store. Then I would feel motivated to use Home.
