They make good products, hardware and software wise, i'm just not interested in purchasing them. I borrowed a friends Wii for SMG, nothing else really seems worth it to me.-Feath-well what about past systems...N64...SNES?
I don't think Nintendo is bad, but they were better back in the day with the NES and SNES. Besides, I'm pretty sure that people remember the first time they played Super Mario World and smiled then they did, something that makes a bigger impact than anything else: memories. That's what Nintendo has.Legendaryscmtnintendo still has great memories for me they still have mario, zelda, metroid...and all the other great franchies i grew up with...and i just love playing those playing SMG for the first time was just WOW to me, i love that game

SNES was alot of fun, I could get into those games on the system, but with everything since then (bar a few games like OoT and SM64 etc) just haven't felt right for me and I couldn't enjoy them. I tried, but they didn't interest me for some reason.
I hate em!! Why do they make classic after classic, and take risks on new types of games when all i really want is yearly updates, "mature" games with lots of cool swearing, and film tie-ins? lmao it's sad, but that's generally how the gaming world is becoming these days nintendo just keeps it real[QUOTE="jaisimar_chelse"][QUOTE="Khansoul"]mehBazfrag
I like Nintendo, but I've never been a huge fan since the SNES days.
I kinda dont like the casual direction they've taken... and more worried about it affecting MS and Sony too.
I love Nintendo ever since the NES days! They still produce some of my favorite games ever!
I also love my X360 (although RRoD worries me to death) and MS in general, although some of the stuff they say (all games in 720P with triple AA) leaves me want to bash my head instead.
I also like (not love) the PS3 although it barely has any games that interests me and the price issue at $400 is too expensive for me right now. Will get it though when FFXIII comes out.
However, I do not like Sony as a company. Their arrogance and over promises ruined them in my eyes. E3 2006 was the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back.
I think the Nintendo DS is a mighty fine system and nintendo are doing a lot right with it, The Wii has some interesting control ideas even if i dont like them, I dont like Nintys aproach to casuals and the amount of shovelware the Wii is getting, but still it has some good games SMG, Zelda, Metroid, No More Heroes.
Ill pick up a Wii when they are next to nothing, for the moment though its not all that great, i cant believe it has sold so well.
No Nintendo = No Modern Consoles.
I love them, if nothing else, because they brought video games back to life like crazy frankenstein doctors who take a chance and renanimate a corpse, only this time, it comes out with super powers, powers inwhich it uses for good and AWESOME!
i have been playing ninty games since the nes days.
overall they have their ups and downs. the snes was when they were at their best imho...then it went downhill sharply for the N64 (soem great first party games but nintys business practices ruined its 3rd party support). now, with the wii and DS, this is ninty back at their best imho. its back to the nes days in terms of the thinking behind the platforms. since iwata-san has taken over....they have been doing great. there also working better with 3rd parties then they ever have before.
its just a shame that ninty have removed quality control from 3rd parties (though i can see why they did it) so the wii suffers from alot fo crap. but it has enough crackers to keep it going.
hopefully history will repeat itself and the wiis successor will be the snes of the 21st century.
nintendo are the only ones who know how to make money in the gaming industry thats what I think, sony and microsoft just have no idea there throwing money around trying to beat each other while nintendo is the only one making any money, that being said Id much prefer my ps3 but I did just buy a Wii for my G/F
what most of u seem to be stating is that u love nintendo of the old, but not the wii while i do respect ur opinions...u have to somewhat agree that the wii is just something new and is an innovation, nintendo is just experimenting to see what people like and wants to see how they can get them more involved i think the next console will still have the wii's form of gameplay, but i personally think it will be optional, so it is for gamers of the hardcore and the casual and the hardcore who is just wanting to play some badass bowling, lmao so, nintendo is just trying something new and i really don't think anyone can judge them based on what they are doing now...i mean u can't blame them for wanting to try change....and even before it came out nintendo knew that not everyone would like it, but stated that it would be a great secondary console of not the only but i think with the money they're flocking around in right now will go straight towards their next console to make it appeal more to the hardcore gamers...meaning more money to spend on better hardware, hard drive, better features...things of that nature...just a feeling of minefiercedeity901
I hope. Unless they like the taste of money to much and keep the focus on casual.
yea...nintendo is getting alot more 3rd party support...problem is that most of it is crap, ported crap, or "kiddy games" like surfs up and what have u but what most people state is that nintendo is the one that is kiddy...when its IS NOT them that's kiddy, it's just the titles that they are revcieving from their 3rd party supporters same with graphics...3rd parties are just putting together slop and half assed jobs and then everyone jumps on the gun saying that nintendo doesn't know graphics and what have u but in all honesty they do, not hardcore graphics per say, but they know great visuals and how to be artistic...just look at SMG, IMHO i really think that game looks like a 360/PS3 game...like an early kameo on the 360, that game just looks fantastic...MP3 also looks great and the effects in that game are great i'm just tired of people saying all these graphics and surplus of "kiddy" games are nintendo's problem...but it isn't, the titles that nintendo themselves are putting out look fan freakin tastic and play great and are for the HARDCORE gamers i really think nintendo should start giving retro studios more games to develope other than just the metroid series...seriously, retro studios is amazing and reminds me of how rareware use to work so well with nintendo before M$ ruined everything just think how many more AMAZING titles we'd have if rare was still with nintendoi have been playing ninty games since the nes days.

yea...nintendo stated as soon as they announced the wii...they said that they are NOT going to be competing personally...sure in the eyes of us and the media we consider it competing with M$ and sony...but they said they are not going to go toe to toe with them and just focus on what they want to do and it was a SMART move...sony and M$ are just battling it out, power with power, mo'money vs. mo'moneynintendo are the only ones who know how to make money in the gaming industry thats what I think, sony and microsoft just have no idea there throwing money around trying to beat each other while nintendo is the only one making any money, that being said Id much prefer my ps3 but I did just buy a Wii for my G/F

yea...but i think what nintendo is probably going to realize after the wii is old news is that there are still the OLD gamers from back in the day and will learn that they need focus too and will know that casual won't be appealing for too long yes it's awesome now cause it's new, fresh, and innovative...but it won't last forever...and personally i think nintendo knows this...so i wouldn't worry too muchi agree. i am pretty sure they are repsonsibl for more than half of the top 10 on gamerrankings.crunchUKactually it's down to only four now since the release of the orange box and GTA IV...which count for four games as well...which is stupid...i think the orange box belongs there, but not GTA IV
the only way for someone to hate nintendo is if they grew up on a rival companies console. Rahnyc4well the count for the fourth option is at 5 and yea...they must be youngins who were born about 8 years ago or something, lol or just played sega or something, lol
love nintendo .. even GC last gen was my favourite console (and i owned all 3)
i don't get why people bash them for the wii .. sure they bring out casual games like wii fit, but they've still delivered the goods for traditional gamers .. zelda TP, MP3, SMG, SSBB
and this should continue .. hopefully at E3 we'll see some more big titles
i understand that nintendo's games aren't to everyones liking but people should still respect them for what they've done for the industry
yea...i'm stoked for nintendo's E3 cause i really believe they are going to just drop bombshell annoucements everywhere we already know about kid icarus wii being announced...i'm sure that new "futuristic" zelda will at least tease us with a teaser...maybe a new mario...hopefully a new DK game that is most like DK64...that kirby game that was cancelled for the cube just after the wii came out...new star fox...just big big stuff i'm expectinglove nintendo .. even GC last gen was my favourite console (and i owned all 3)

Absolutely not.
Most haters nowadays, are those who grew up with the NES/SNES.
Its a hate/love relationship. The most loyal hardcore Nintendo fan will dislike the direction Nintendo is taking these days. Since Nintendo is basicly giving us the middle finger.
I personally will always have a weak spot for Nintendo developed games. I'm just gonna have to wait and see what they have to offer us on E3 08 this month.

WOAH...giving us the middle finger? what the hell do u mean by that...they aren't giving us the middle finger they are just trying something new OH...and trust me...expect big things from E3 this year for nintendo...just aheads up...FYI...nintendo is gonna win E3 this yearMy first video game system was an SNES and I've owned all of their systems up until now, since I don't have a Wii yet. Nintendo games comprises about 35-40% of my Library, so I do have a lot of love for them. Mario and Legend of Zelda are two of my favorite franchises.Lionheart08yea...zelda is my number one franchise of all time...mario and metroid are up there i'd probably rate my top five 1. zelda 2. FF games 3. mario 4. metroid 5. MGS
I am honestly not a huge fan of Nintendo but they have made some great consoles in their time. The NES, the SNES, the N64, the GC, the DS and more recently, the Wii. Each time they've brought something new to the table more so with the DS having the dual screens and the Wii with its increased interactive abilities. I have found that most of the recent games on the DS and Wii have been directed more to younger audiences instead of hardcore games, that I don't have a problem with but it certainly drives some people away. Now ends my short opinion. :P
Loved nintendo when was younger
went off them a bit dueing the gamecube days
now im at point where with the wii where i like nintendo and respect them but only nintendo games i get now are the big hitters like galaxy and smash bros
