Hopefully the Vita's and 3DS failures will finally kill handheld gaming

Once/if Vita picks up some steam, it's going to be a lovely secondary device to the PC.

I can't believe that people here are defending handhelds. Can't you see how much of a garbage they are compared with consoles?

Handheld gaming, in my opinion, is just terrible and should die in a fire.

Actually I can see consoles dying before handhelds by looking at how fast portable are advancing I wont be surprised if 9 gen consoles were nothing but portable with a TV port :D

I thought handhelds were never the priority to console companies anyway...

And some games on them are damn good and they are cheaper and self-sufficient so I think their existence is justifiable...

One of my favorite games has started on a handheld, Pokemon, no thanks.

Handhelds are awesome, if those games that can only be found on a handheld and you want them, you either ignore them or buy the console.
