Honestly, if you think SMG won't sell consoles you've got to be crazy. Metroid Prime isn't as big of a seller, but it's still one of the best franchises Nintendo has and hardcore gamers will eat it up.
Please look at current software sales figures and tell me smaller studios wouldn't be going out of business without the wii. The gaming industry wouldnt last long after the PS2 dies and if there was no wii. Wii attracts casuals, casuals buy the most games that Hardcore gamers avoid. With only the PS3 and 360, the gaming industry would become a niche market again and would totally colapse on itself like it did in the 80s. Just because you don't like the wii, doesnt mean its not important to the gaming industry.

Just because a game doesn't have starving fans jumping on previews doesn't mean it won't sell well.
the wii won't falter from those. a few games don't seems to boost sales up for other consoles by the millions. And the wii also has its own library, so it should be fine

Go to the smash bros site. It updates about once a week. There is already tons of new content. But yea, most of the big hits for the 360 and PS3 are sequels, so stop being a hypocrite.

So repackaging old games with new controls makes them better? Im sorry, but id rather have my games evolve in terms of depth, being able to wave around the gun isnt revolutionary, having large evironments with interactivity and just overall immersiveness
