Horizon Zero Dawn delayed to 2017

I'm not surprise and I'm cool with the delay since February 2017 isn't so bad at all and I got massive backlog of games I still need to play and finish up anyways, so not much of a lost cause.

Not surprising especially when E3 is just around the corner, Sony will just announce even more TBA TBD games to continue the game list hype as previous E3 TBA TBD games get delayed, that's the cycle.

I said this when they first announced it, I knew this wasn't getting released during any holidays. It's going to get the Bloodborne treatment with getting it's own month when people are tired of their holiday games, smart move to insure the games success but I hope Sony has something lined up for the holiday besides it's VR.

lol told the cows when all is said and done UC4 will be the only exclusive released by Sony in 2016 and they all dipshit like ma Horizon, ma Last Guardian blahblah.

Not surprising. I've been saying all along there is no way this game is coming out in 2016. Also there is no way The Last Guardian is making it this year either.

@PSP107: Giving the fact that there was barely any info on Horizon as of late, this wasn't a big surprise to see a delay was coming and there were lots of rumors on delaying Horizon, so this was to be expected. I'm cool, it get's me plenty of time to play other games I got in my closet of backlog games.

That's fine. They need to take their time and do this one right. It's one of the most exciting titles we've seen for awhile.

Hopefully the extra time will help GG make a AAAAE.

Are you talking about a platformer that was released for PS2, remastered for PS3 and again remade for 900pStation for a movie cashin albeit downgraded from the original game? May be another release on the Neo to match the PS2 version don't ya think and then you will have 2 exclusives. :P

The game isnt even announced yet, so to think its comming early 2017 is delusional. GOW most likely fall 2017 if not 2018.

I'm surprised everyone is hyped for this game, considering it's Guerilla Games, and they made Killzone, and Killzone sucks..

I thought the Killzone games scores were pretty good. Yes, I know about the last one.

Feb 28th, that's my birthday present sorted even though it's on 27th. These delays recently have really worked out for me.

Maybe they can tap into the magic that made KZ 1-3, but I'm not a fan of those games. I have high hopes for Horizon.

I mean, I'm fine with the delay, and honestly didn't expect it this year, but Jesus Christ, Sony's inability to actually hit any of their release dates for their first party games is a joke at this point.

Almost every major first party game on the PS4 got delayed: The Order, DriveClub, Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted 4, inFamous: Second Son, and now Horizon: Zero Dawn. They need to manage their schedule better.

Sony has it far more consistently than any of the other first parties. I appreciate that they are taking the time to get these games right, I have absolutely no issue with that- but maybe don't announce games so early, or maybe don't commit to dates for them?

Unrealistic initial expectations coming from the publisher, possibly due to unrealistic initial forecasts from the developers. At least Sony aren't forcing their developers to release unfinished products.

Well when you remaster or remake something you usually improve and don't cut. Framerate being halved is a downgrade.

As I said, I appreciate them taking their time on their games. However, I do have an issue with consistent delays for literally every major game they have put out this generation, not that there have been many of those from them in the last few years either.

They should just wait until they are closer to release to announce games, I guess. Do it like Bethesda does.

No it didn't. GS flops are relative to hype, Ratchet and Clank had no GS hype and hence did not flop. Just a game scoring an 8 doesn't make it a flop, if Forza Horizon 3 were to be hyped AA, and it scored an 8, then it wouldn't be a flop, it would have met the hype.
