How are Wii owners holding up?

because 2008 has not equated the formula of better sales = more games. What does the Wii have so far this year?

No More Heroes - January, Super Smash Bros. - March, Mario Kart - April...........then nothing else significant up until todays date September 13th......nothing in the foreseeable future either. SO what are you doing with your Wii in the meantime if anything at all? Mine is just sitting here collecting large quantities of dust. =\

Unfortunately, mines sitting next to my ps3, look awfully lonely. I really need to beat Galaxy sometime...

Soon, it will be sitting next to my ps3 and 360, and it will look like the awkward kid at the party sitting next to the two amazingly hot chicks who are making out. Yeah.

Ironically, I'm not looking forward TO ANY 1st party Wii games this Xmas. However, there's a few 3rd party games I'm interested in, as rentals.

My poor Wii hasn't been turned on in over 6 months. I know that some hardcore Wii fans will have better stories, but my 360 and PS3 just keep getting the games coming.

GHIII is a nice multiplat, as long as you realize you have no DLC options.

SSBB is great fun though, even if it came out so early this year. I should pop that in again.

Urr, Wii has had the most exclusive AAA's and AA's so far this year, and it's had plenty of great games that have been ignored completely like Boom, Blox, Blast Works, Lost Winds, etc. It's clearly getting plenty of games. Although August has been a very dry month, but it's been dry for 360 and PS3 really, only Sould Calibur 4, Too Human (if you were desperate for a game),bobbetybob

They won't believe you even if you say this. Their intent is only to hate on the Wii. They can't fanthom that people actually are enjoying games on it.

I have no real problem with the Wii and if you like playing lots of old ports and inferior MP's then thats fine. The majority don't however.

Is medal of honor heroes 2 any good?

So far what I've bought in 2008 for Wii is:
- No More Heroes
- Boom Blox
- Okami
- SSBB
- Mario Kart Wii
- Blast Works: Build Trade Destroy
- Bully:Scholarship Edition

The only other four games I'm buying for the rest of the year are:
- Guitar Hero World Tour (Wii)
- Little King's Story (Wii)
- Gears of War 2 (360)
- Prince of Persia (360)

and the 360 itself.

Overall I'm pretty happy with the Wii, but I can't miss out Prince of Persia, my most antcipated 360/PS3 game -- pretty much the reason I want a 360 -- I dont care for many PS3 exclusives etiher thus the 360 over PS3.

As for Wii 'holding up' -- I'm doing fine, I dont have time for games as I used too -- so I can play 20-30mins of a game and really enjoy it because most Wii games are pick up and play. When I get a 360 XBL will act almost the same, pick up and play.

So I win either way.

I'm not holding so great, the last game I think that was worth buying was Final Fantasy fables chocobo dungeon, and now to wait for Harvest Moon tree of tranquility.

What did you think of Chocobo dungeon it looks good and got a couple of good reviews. I have been too busy with other games right now. But I plan on playing that latter.

Chocobo's Dungeon is actually not too bad. It's mostly a dungeon crawler a la Shiren the Wanderer and Izuna DS. The dungeons, enemies, and items are randomized and the ****s for your Chocobo add an extra layer to the gameplay. I definitely had fun with it, but right now I'm occupied with MLB Power Pros 2008. I'm so addicted to this game at the moment it isn't even funny.

Oh, and the Wii isn't just a console for ports. It has quite a few good original games.

Just more people ignoring high quality titles like Boom Blox, Blast Works, MLB Power Pros 2008, Lost Winds, and the like.

Are you discrediting these games you don't even know? Are you denying their excellence just because you've never heard of them? Because they are good games in the Wii library, and they are just as good as some first party Nintendo titles.

grand. its my most played console still (with the 360 coming in second since i got forza 2.....i didnt think id enjoy a driving sim but there ya go. its the only 360 game ive bought this year though :S).

its been busy this year with brawl (only released this year in europe), okami, kart + a few wiiware and VC games (super mario RPG was never released in europe...great to finally have a legal way of acquiring it.). i still have to pick up boom blox also and im keeping an eye on several titles coming this year including deadly creatures, mushroom men and de blob.

For me, the Wii is in a "you just wait" type of stage. It's like how the PS3 was (and kind of still is for me)... there were some good games every now and then, but no serious killer apps in months.

But that's fine, the Wii is and will continue to be the king of niche gaming, which I love. :D

Does LKS have a set-in-stone release date yet? With ToS2 and WarioLand, I was also looking to pick this up this fall, but I haven't heard much about it in a bit and am really looking forward to it.

How am I holding up? We'll, let's just say thank god I own a PS3. I barely turn on my Wii. I have started to go into VC and WiiWare games though. Just bought Strong Bad,, Bonk's Revenge, River City Ransom and I plan to buy Strong Bad E2 and Super Mario RPG this month. There's also de Blob and Star Wars this month. I plan to get one of them... maybe. That's about it. After this month, I'll have nothing else to look forward to for the rest of the year (unless they announce Disaster in December or something). I have 3 games I'm looking forward to in '09 (The Conduit, MadWorld, House of the Dead: Overkill) so I guess I'll just spend the rest of this year trying to complete Metroid 3, RE4 and trying to sell Mario Kart Wii :D

Oh yeah and Sam and Max.
