How can any gamer take the Wii seriously?

Seriously... I'd like to know. It has the worst online service out of the three consoles, the least quality games, the most mini games by a landslide, and numerous clues which which make it evident that Nintendo doesnt care about us gamers.

Reggie said at E3 this year that first time Mario Kart players will be "bumper to bumper" with experienced players- this means that this series is getting a huge downgrade, plus that gimmicky wheel controller which has no use other than to steal your money.

On top of all that stuff, the Wii has horrible third party support.

Please fill me in... I'd like to know how anyone can respect a console that is set to ruin this industry.

no matter what anybody says, you're going to think the same thing. if anything, the only point of this topic was to give you a reason to insult people, be it calling them scared if they don't respond, or childish if they do. it's been done too many times.

How's it gonna ruin the industry?

It's not like 360 is selling horribly, and even though the PS3 isn't so hot right now, it's got some great looking titles coming too.

I don't understand why everyone is assuming that the PS2 userbase isn't still playing their PS2. Look at the software sales. It's still extremely strong.

Clues? I guess that's all you have when Fire Emblem, BWii, SSBB, MP3, SMG, Mario Kart, and Paper Mario all come out within a year.

Online suxorz though, but doesn't mean it can't improve.

He meant the controls would be intuitive enough that anyone could pick up and play. I guess you'd rather just go and get a Halo 3 edition 360, along with matching controller, and some Game Fuel to chug while you play Halo 3 Legendary Edition. :/

seems people love to take nintendo quotes out of context.

"bumper to bumper" with experienced players simply means the new control scheme with the wii wheel. It means that everyone has to start over at square one. "experienced players" could just as easily mean experienced mariokart players, and that the game will still reward skill. I suppose my interpretation COULD be wrong, but based on the ignorance in other interpretations of nintendo quotes, like shigeru saying "i could have made halo"), I would guess not.

the wii has more AA-AAA exclusives than the ps3

wii-bashers are going to have to find a way to deal with that fact

The worst online doesn't mean it isn't good, it's decent. The least quality titles is your opinion and you don't have to play the minigames... I sure don't. Play the good ones. Nintendo brings so many hardcore games in the same year like BWii, MP3, Galaxy, SSBB, Fire Emblem, etc... which I think is more than Sony's 1st party titles this year. Your second paragraph doesn't have any facts, just predictions. The game still can be great. Yeah the support isn't great but still I can see a few gems like Zack & Wiki and No more heroes. And it can only get better.

The point of the Wii is that it isn't supposed to be taken seriously. It's just supposed to be a fun console that offers another way to play games. Whether or not that way is better or equal or worse is your opinion.
