Having to like press down the right mouse click to aim and then shoot while aim , much better and faster using a pad

Ever hear of the invisible hand of Adam Smith? you let the compagny tell you what you should love and hate and in this case, you let that hand choose who you should kill. I would avoid the invisible hand choices if I were you.

Noodles, I'm sure if this forum allowed it, you would have so many swears thrown at you. :P
Everything you say is just wrong.
Actually
mouse click > pushing the right trigger on the pad, since it's a longer push!
the OP needs to recognize!
Shame, my graphics card makes COD4 look significantly better on pc than consoles. Also, did you know you can get controllers for PC?
\thread
What? Wow... ludicrous... fanboys on both sides.
It's not difficult to press the right click.. hell you just CLICK you don't hold it donw... :|
As for the game pad, yeah.. you hold downt he left trigger pull the right to shoot, isn't hard and any less "faster" either.
Now... with CoD4 on PC you have customizable buttons, faster aiming, more precision and hell of a lot better things like servers, free online play, and so on.
sorry thats too much work for you:roll:[QUOTE="tader-salad"][QUOTE="NOODLES_07"]Having to like press down the right mouse click to aim and then shoot while aim , much better and faster using a pad

or if its too complicated
Wonder how something like a right click is so difficult for one person to do... :|Yeah I can personally say i have both version of CoD4, and the PC version is superior in EVERY way possible.
How can you play it on the console? The controls are so slow and unresponsive.Wasdie
That's not true.
I'm going to guess this is a BS thread.. none the less..
You can use a 360 controller with a PC. MS released a controller that looks just like the 360 gamepad but is compatible with windows.
blahzor
Err actually they released a USB adaptor that lets you use all of your wireless 360 peripherals on the PC. You can also use the camera. They never actually made one specific for the PC they just sold the old wired ones and repacked them to say PC...as is evidenced by the fact you can plug any wired 360 pad into a pc and it works.
In fact games like crysis come with setups for the 360 controller already in place....nobody uses them however as they are completely noobified as you would expect.

Partially is... I must say. Also there's some sick aim assist on that game too.I find the controls are responsive, but then again I could see where your coming from if you play on PC where the controls are going to be much more responsive. Lol yeah the aim assist is terrible, but you get used to it I guess.
But if my PC was powerful enough, I would have bought it over consoles any day.

Three things.1. Crysis is a "games for windows" game,. and ever games for windows title supports the 360 pad out of the box.
2. It is not "noobified" to play with it, it is actually very fun and a change to use a pad for once.
3. CoD4 DOES NOT support gamepads out of the box, I tried my 360 pad and there is NO option for gamepad support.

Meh you will never convince the Hermits it's a waste of time.....Khansoul
Convince them of what?
That aiming is faster with a controller?
I can see why that's a waste of time...
Also didn't Quake 2 or whatever prove that Mouse >>>>>> gamepad? Didn't the Dreamcast players get totally OWNED!?
EDIT: It was Quake 3 arena.

its funny, i played CoD 4 on the 360 for the first time a couple days ago and it was complete crap compared to the pc version
PC has no rumble :SEuroMafia
You would rather use a clumsy analog sticks with some vibration than a precise method of control? Put a cell phone in your pocket and have someone keep calling you.
Stupid argument.
Besides that new FPS feedback vest is so much cooler than some little vibrating object in your hands.

The whole PC vs Console argument is meh is what I mean.
You said it like you think that controllers are better controls than a mouse and keyboard and trying to convince hermits that it is better is a waste of time. I don't know if that's what you meant, but that's what it sounded like.

I wasn't sure if they made new controllers that were compatible with the PC or not, i figured they did since they've been repackaged. But it makes sense that they'd just make it compatible with both. Good to know though.. still, point stands that you can use a 360 pad(wired or wirless) with a pc, hence his thread is moot.
catlin: I don't pc game much(modern pc gaming, that is) as my pc is pretty outdated.. but i had thought the 360 gamepad was compatible with all pc games that could use gamepads, out of the box? Are there ways around it yet if it's not compatible with cod4?

That's not true.
Yes it is actually. It is MUCH more difficult to operate a controller for a FPS than KB/M. This is coming from someone that can switch between them and play well on both. It takes much more effort on a controller.

Your right, but it's still not "slow" and "unresponsive" when playing it on consoles. If your used to consoles then it seems perfect, and if your used to PC then your going to find it less responsive. I played PC FPS before I ever played console FPS's.

I would have to agree with this statement, as someone in the same position.
Besides
the 50 players online
dedicated servers
higher resolutions
more precise controls (no auto aim)
better graphics (depending on your system)
full mod support
The PC users just got 31 maps yesturday! for FREE! What did 360 players get? Besides a bill from Microsoft for xbox live.
