I saw quite a few lemmings even doubting if the game would get AAA, but now nobody doubted it. The game sounds great, but I don't think it is the deciding factor in the Console Wars that many lemmings seem to think.

Because there are more xbox 360 owners in this board, and if one wii owner try to bash one of their games 10 lemmings (as the example Eponique posted) will counter attack and eventually win the thread, because of the big difference of userbase at Gamespot.

Well Halo 3 really brings a few questions to the system war. Can one game completely turn around a system? Is this how games will be marketed for here on out? What will the other companies do to counter Halo 3?

I mean think about this, NPD is going to be insane for both 360 and Wii for the next few months, as a retailer myself, we completely SOLD OUT of all 360s as of Sunday, (of course we got tons more in today) but it was all becasue of Halo3. That's pretty impressive.

Imagine what it will be like when SMG comes out with the already frenzied Wii market.

Plus Halo 3 is putting systems into peoples' homes BEFORE the holidays. You really won't see what that does for MS until the holidays, because Halo 3 is going to be a holiday title even if it is released in September, and it will also drive sales of Mass Effect, and the tons of Multi-plat games to come out this season. That's right, tons of Multi-plat games people will buy for this sytem they already own, instead of buying the competition, Ps3.

Halo 3's supurb reviews and mega media coverage is only promoting the 360 name in a way neither of the 3 companies could even afford. If Halo 3 really sells the 6 million in 60 days that anaylsit are projecting, then expect to see more games marketed in this Movie Style way.

Halo 3 is a big deal to lemmings because it really is a huge turning point in the systems life. It certainely is going to drive hardware sales, and in the long run those sales turn into software sales, but it isn't setting anything in stone yet. It's really impressive so far but I'll be more impressed if the 360 can beat Nintedo in NPD IN NOVEMBER.

although Halo 3 is almost a coffin for the already struggling sony.
