How come this game get no love in system wars?

Devil May Cry 1 and 3 was one of my favourite games last gen. I see that most people in SW, prefer Ninja Gaiden.
just becuase Devil May Cry is not AAA here on GameSpot means its a bad game. IGN even scored DMC 3 higher than Ninja Gaiden.
This game(Devil May Cry 4) is out this year, and I suggest you give it a try. Its going to be great.

I believe after watching these videos, you will be convinced to get this game.

Video 1: this video is for non-DMC players, the combos are simple and beautiful, it shows the type of combos you can do in the game.

Video 2: this is for people who have played DMC and have an idea about the game. it has some hard hitting combos and shows the game's different techniques.

Video 3: this is for DMC fans, people who play and understand the game. this video is strictly for DMC fans and not for noobs. the combos are fast, infinte and insane.

Devil May Cry 4 is out on PlayStation 3 this autumn.

I'm not because every time Dante opens his mouth I want to stab him in the throat, and the games are about as much fun as level grinding in Korean MMORPGs. But thats just me.

I've always wanted to play a DMC game just to see what it's all about but it looks a little too button-mashy for my taste. Its probably better than is looks but I can't be bothered with PS2 games anymore so I doubt I'll ever get to play it.

trust me, its not button mashy, its a 'pick and play' game, but if you want to master it and do combos, it very difficult. I mean, really really difficult. ask any DMC player.

and since you are through with PS2, get DMC 4 for PS3. and you can also play previous DMC games on it(PS3).

I find it odd that DMC 4 isn't constantly hyped by cows. Considering they hype nearly every other exclusive game (like F1 :lol: )

agreed. they dont hype it, I dont know why. probably because it was not 'AAA' on GameSpot.

I really liked the first DMC, I played the second one but the first one for me was much better...oh well hopefully it'll be a great game as its a good series ;)

I'll take your word for it. They look like good games and DMC4 probably deserves more hype.

Theres just no skill to the game, just keep hitting the buttons in time, and its too linear, and im not sure about the rendered backdrops either. I played the first one and it was fun at first but after i finished it i just felt all, meh. Its a bit like LP on 360, it looks good and plays well, some love it and some couldn't care less, i personally dont know why it got so many sequals, the ps3 version should be DMC2 IMO.

Skip the second one....It's horrible. 1 and 3 are great though.

Because its not coming out for ages, and the series average is only 8.05. And the last 2 games failed to break 1 million after the first reached a whopping 4 million. Kinda screams dead fanbase no?
The first was great, but GOW and NG series are leagues above sorry.

well i only really enjoyed the first 2 was horrible and 3 i thought was alot better than 2 but not better than one. plus 3 was real cheezy i mean the story, characters and voice overs were all very chezy i mean they destroyed dantes lines the only time he seemed cool to me was in the first. Also i just feel that 3 turnes it into heavy button mashing its alwas been button smahing but 3 overkills on it

I played dm3 and it was great but I am not paying $600 to play part 4. I am sure dmc4 will own but I will only get a ps3 when mgs4 comes out and not 1 day before (unless GOW3 comes out 1st).

I never played DMC 1/2 but part 3 was fantastic and the 8.6 score on GS was low it should have been at least a 9. Now I love DMC about as much as Ninja gaiden on the xbox and I can't understand why anybody would hate on this great game. It's a killer app for sure it's just I am too cheap to spend $600 on a ps3 right now. If I didn't have a 360 I would run and grab a ps3 just for this game. Who knows if they (sony) can get another game of the caliber of DMC4 out in the same time frame I might have to get one.

No game really deserves the hype it gets, so its really a good thing DMC isn't hyped. It pisses me off when I see people making threads about MGS4 and Mass Effect and hyping them just because of their graphics

I don't really care for the DMC series, simply because I CAN'T STAND games where the camera is always switching angles on you, especially without warning and when fighting bosses. It makes the bosses much harder than they would otherwise be, and I get all disoriented. Plus there's the fact that Alastor hasn't appeared since the first game. Overall, I prefer Dante in Viewtiful Joe.

I don't like the changes Capcom made. Dante no more...and a new main character come up called Nero. He has instead of 2 guns now 1 sissy revolver. Also...I prefer God of War and Ninja Gaiden over this game. Devil May Cry 1 is one of my most favourite game but they screwed up with 2 and I honestly...I didn't like 3 much either. DMC1 is best one so far.

I always wanted to play the DMC series. (I love NG, and I hear it's pretty comparable)
Don't really know why there's not much hype for it.
If I were a cow, I would surely be hyped about it.

This is one of the games I wish would head to the 360. Devil May Cry 3 was an awesome game. Not a AAA but a very high AA. Looks like DMC4 will be about the same but with a nice graphics upgrade (and it looked pretty sick last gen). PS3 owners should be way more excited for this game than they are right now.

Hasn't been AAA since its first title, had a crappy second title, was beat out by Ninja Gaiden and God of War in its last installment, God of War II is coming out, PS3 is getting Ninja Gaiden Sigma, lack of information, um well I still think its gonna be good I'm just giving out reasons as to why nobody is hyped :P

I love DMC. As much as everyone praises the crap out of God of War, without DMC, it would be nothing. A little wag of the finger at GoW, and a tip of the hat to DMC.

Cuz it doesn't get shown that often, and no one knows when it'll release. I mean no one really thinks it'll be bad (not DMC2 bad at least), it just hasn't been shown much and may end up being slightly derivitave
