How come no one hypes this Wii exclusive?

Deadly Creatures...

It's one of the games I bought my Wii for.

I know there's not much known about specific gameplay mechanics, but what is known is pretty revolutionary.

An action Adventure starring a tarantula or a scorpion, surviving the hard and cold world that is earth... Sounds amazing.

It looks good, original and extremely fun.

It's not because some extreme crap comes out on the system, there aren't some jewels either.

umm..that's not crap...and if its crap why is nintendo showing them off (and them only) at the biggest video game convention?

im really looking foreward to it too TC, but dont hype it. its my dark horse of the year and dark horses dont get hyped....they get monitored.

i love the concept and what the dev is trying to do......but this could very easily backfire. at the mo im not that chuffed about the fighting system....its a bit silly seeing a spider punching its enemy and not ha ha silly.....thats activated my warning systems a bit.

i do like the way its telling its story and the game having 2 different styles of play and, as i said, the concept is great imho. but im not hyping it.

give ppl a heads up sure but id advise against hyping it for the moment.

It could backfire, but most of the time a good and original concept makes half the game. I think that even if it isn't AAA or AA material (which it probably won't be) it wil have a certain underground following (like Ico in the day)...

well i think itll do very well if it get an AA score overall and thats what im expecitng of it. i know i definately will pick it up if it gets AA overall (not just here of course). if it starts going into 6 and 7s though the, depending on what the review says, i might not get it.

a good and origonal concept is a good start...but it also needs to be well executed to make the game worthwhile imho.

And in case you think I'm a fanboy for some reason: Look at Deadly Creatures, and then look at Banjo, or Fallout 3, or Fable 2. Heck, I think Killzone 2 will even blow this game away

I think there's a clear cut between what's being hyped because it's a new game and what looks like a good game.

Techu is wrong to hype. Monster Hunter is okay to hype, assuming you liked the last. Spore is fine.

I've been keeping my eye on it, there's so little info on it though, there was meant to be news on it at E3 I think either yesterday or today, was there?bobbetybob

Techu is wrong to hype. Monster Hunter is okay to hype, assuming you liked the last. Spore is fine.

How is it ok to hype one game but then not another? I think Tenchu is looking pretty sweet and has the potential of being one brilliant game! I've played the 1st 2 on the PS1 and it was easiely the best Sneak'em up of its generation.

Hyping Tenchu is wrong but then its alright to Hype Monster Hunter 3 though there is only 1 pic of the whole game.

the latest techus have been piles of crap. MH3 is part of a hit or miss franchise.

Yes, it's safe to say that if your franchise is good, the next game in there will be good. The reverse is also true.

Why not hype something like Tales of Symphonia 2? Much better

I have not played tenchus which where released on the Xbox but i heard mixed thoughts upon it. Monster Hunter i enjoyed quite alot though many people say "it Suxx" though i dont care for personal opinions of people as i'm me and capable of deciding what i like. I use Gamespot for insight into games i like more so than reviews.

Franchises can go either way like you said. People praise RE4 though many of the true RE fans think its below average Survival-Horror and more of a good 3rd person action game which is why i disliked #4 and having mixed thoughts on #5. I dont take previous history of franchises to heart like i dont take developers history to serious as every game is a new project.

I was asked the same question yesterday of "Why arent you hyping ToS2" and i was 100% honest and said "I've not looked to deep into the game. I cannot hype something which i know so little about as i would be a hypocrit". Everyone has there own taste in games and have there own ideas on what deserves to be hyped, Too me Tenchu is one game i think deserves hype.
