You can use the standard Xbox 360 controller with it I believe.

nah they should just come out with a nunchuck-type device, i mean Kinect already does all the motion tracking work that the wiimote/wand do, and without the nunchuck those two would have the exact same limitations that Kinect has
so inevitably the final part that would give devs a little more freedom is a nunchuck for Kinect
That would be the better thing to do in terms of allowing core software development...But then You are (not) the controller! anymore.
And if you're going to have a nunchuck for movement, then why not release an accessory with some buttons on it for things like shooting...
Congratulations, your Kinect evolved into a Wii.
what's the point of coming out with a wiimote/wand for Kinect for rail shooters when you can just use your hands like in Child of Eden? it would be kinda funny to be playing a rail shooter where your fingers are shooting bullets at enemies
besides that, i thought of the idea of moving a character without a nunchuck anyways... why not just establish that your left hand is the left stick and right hand the right stick? to move forward you push your hand forward like you're pushing the character around, and by moving your left hand right or left you're telling the character to go right or left, while your right hand controls camera, and if you had a nunhuck-esque device even with just 1 or 2 buttons that would act as your firing mechanism unless you wanted to be a little more creative and make firing a "timed" based action sort of like when you select something on the dashboard, you just hold your hand over something and wait a second and your guy shoots a 1-hit kill laser beam or something
anyways, i think if people really want something interesting on a new controls scheme then somebody will make something, i mean this is the same industry that worked out how to play a 3d game where you don't control the camera
edit: you could also translate games like Jet Grind Radio or Katamari Damacy over to Kinect pretty easily imo, point is i think it's possible that these kind of games can exist on that platform... which is why i was disappointed in Microsoft's E3 so much
