How do settle a trademark lawsuit? Simple, play Quake 3

That's what Notch is suggesting in his latest blog post in regarding to the lawsuit filed by Bethesda regarding Mojang's game "Scrolls"

I challenge Bethesda to a game of Quake 3. Three of our best warriors against three of your best warriors. We select one level, you select the other, we randomize the order. 20 minute matches, highest total frag count per team across both levels wins.

If we win, you drop the lawsuit.

If you win, we will change the name of Scrolls to something you're fine with.

He says he is serious. I hope he is, and that Bethesda accepts the challenge.

wow, that's epic for two reasons, first, Q3:A is my favorite fps of all time and it's fun watching others play it and 2nd the idea is original and gold .... I wish Israel and Palastine can settle their conflict this way :D .

They should play the match live too.

bethesda HAS to do this.. I mean they just have to. This is too amazing to turn down.

I'm just so sick of lawsuits anymore that any comical material connected doesn't make me laugh...Its just not worth the laugh inlight of the rampent curruption of todays legal systems and well humanity as a whole.

Right. Next time someone mentions "Scolls" I'm gonna instantly think of the their game. Maybe you should sue Blizzard too cause their games like WoW, Diablo have scrolls in them.

Why? It a word that existed well before ES series. Such a stupid lawsuit.
