How do you decide whether to buy a game for xbox or ps3?

For those that have botth PS3 and XBOX 360, what do you take into consideration when deciding whether to buy a game for PS3 or Xbox? I always have a hard time making up my mind when a game I want is on both systems.

The only two factors that ever come to my mind are which controller I prefur to use and whener or not i care if my Xbox friends can see what im playing. Every thing else seems the same to me.

Since my preferred controller is the 360's that isn't even a factor. I just get the best version. Actually framerate is really important to me so that's usually my starting point.

360 because usually it's the superior version

Hard drive space and friends list. PS3 wins both.

pretty much if it has multiplayer which as the better network to get all your people together and coordinate a match especially if it is a game that a lot of people will own!!!

and if it is a single player game...... well do you like talking wile gaming to people that can give you instant help when in a jam at any given moment??? If not and you like to game solo without any bother from your buddies other than from your cellphone then the answer is PS3!!! If you like the previous statement then it's 360!!! Me personally I go with 360 for most games and PS3 for Exclusives only!!!:roll:

It depends on what you want. Both have their pros & cons but id say PS3 has more to offer. The biggest factor is games & PS3 has a ton of great & varied exclusives, free online, it would be the best bet.

I have both but i play all my multiform games on 360 merely because i prefer the controller. THink about what you want. Paying $60 a year to play online is 360s biggest downfall & the fact that microsoft seems to invest all their money into kinect rather than alot of great & varied excluives really pisses me off.

i liked the older xbox so i went with 360 i enjoy the few exclusives and the arcades

i got the ps3 in later years to just expand my gameing. it's right now a dust bunnie farm

This. I almost always get the 360 version. Honestly it's playing it safe by doing that. Six years and the PS3 still gets situations like Skyrim. I also get the PC versions of games as well if they are available.

all Multiplats that have an online component, I buy for either PS3 or PC (depending on what system my friends are more likely to buy it for:) ).

when I had a 360 it would always be ps3. I like the ds3 more and I dont wanna pay for online and after playing both networks both are basicly identical and work fine.

I want to download Resident Evil 4. I don't know why but I'm leaning more towrds ps3. Maybe because I used to play it on PS2.

Though I don't own a 360 but if i did i would have this psychological problem where i would try to have the same amount of games with both. So yea....:lol:

So if ps3 would have 6 games and xbox360 5 the next game would go to xbox (:

If it is a game that I'll probably play online then I buy it for the ps3.

I usually get them for the 360 but I am looking for a game that would be fun with the DS3 such as Mortal Kombat.

360 is usually my go-to unless the PS3 gets some exclusive content or is simply better for one reason or another.
