with dreamcast making headlines again, has the nostalgia hit you yet?

even i've been affected by it. recently hooked up the old dreamcast right next to my 360 and ps3 and played through shenmue and soul calibur again. shenmue is still fantastic, but SC isn't as great as i remembered it...and i played the crap outta that back in the days

I feel that sega is doing a pretty poor job in capitalizing that, going by that atrocious(and short)selection of games for the compilation.

Personally I think it´s a great system that deserved at lot more than it had,it´s good to see it mentioned still.

Who cares? The only reason it's being brought up again is because people are comparing the PS3's future piracy problems to the death of the Dreamcast.

I don't give a rat's ass. About once a year some sort of dreamcast craze will start, and then will die down again until the following year.

How is there a Dreamcast hype right now? Because the ports on PSN or whatever? That seems more like a quick buck for Sega, and a nice chance for fans.

The Dreamcast was awesome, ahead of it's time... It was Sega's Swan Song...

I liked the Dreamcast for the little while I had one. Fun games, thought the games looked better than the PS2, and they played much more smoothly. Good times. I think I'd rather just buy another Dreamcast than the compilation packs though. I hear the ports are real shoddy.

I skipped the 64-bit era of the late 1990s and mostly did not bother caring about it, but it was unfortunate that it had a premature demise.

I'd like to see some more updated revisions of games. Can't really be bothered hooking up my Dreamcast all the time, and wont have it with me overseas.

My Dreamcast is always hooked up, so I get doses of nostalgia daily. There were some timeless games on that machine.

I would say I feel that Sega isn't giving us what we want when we express that nostalgia of course they've released some good games so far as rereleases but the recent collection is complete crap.

they only did 2 games that were already ported to death and then 2 lame games. What was the point even? If they would have chosen Jet Set Radio and Shenmue this would have been a MUCH bigger event.

I'm not impressed at ALL and keep in mind I've been playing the latest versions of a DC game tons even today(PSO).

The Dreamcast was the best console ever, It didn't deserve it's fate. I have never met anyone who has ever regretted buying the Dreamcast.

Its still worth buying even today.

They need to hurry the F up and bring JSFR to XBL/PSN. I lost my xbox copy half a decade ago and I've been jonesing for some JSRF action ever since. :(

The Dreamcast and Gamecube were the last true consoles, I played my DC a lot more than I touched my PS2 early on (which was used primarily for dvd's and ps1 games for a long time). Now I think about it I only picked up a 360 because it had the successor to my favourite racer ever on it (MSR).
