Now don't think I'm bashing the PSP2 or anything, but I have a feeling that if all the rumors about the PSP 2's features and capabilities are true Sony will launch it for $350.

$300 for standalone launch or $350 for 2 games bundle. It'd be suicide to release an expensive handheld. Lower the price the better. The optimistic part says it'll be $200 to one-up Nintendo but the realisitic part say "LOL YA RITE. 300 CUZ SONY BE GREEDY."
200, and if it isn't then sony's marketing team should be fired immediately.

They should have already been fired, I mean seriously the PSP Go for 250! WTH!
[QUOTE="DerpyMcDerp"]tells me 117 people voted for 350 or more...lulz That's what I thought. :lol:What does the poll say for the rest of you?

lol keep dreaming, it's not gonna happen. The PSP2 will have better visuals than what the 3DS can do. Do you really think Sony is going to make a HH weaker than the 3ds? I highly doubt it. I see the PSP2 going for $300+. If the PSP2 is stronger than the 3DS, Sony can't afford to release it at $200.
You keep system wars enjoyable, Swag. lolgreater than $360 but it doesnt matter because imho boatloads of people will still buy it regardless of the price because they know the psp2 is shaping up to be the best handheld to date, cant wait for it. got it preordered already

how can you preorder something that hasn't been announced? :P
I have mentally prepared myself for it to cost up to $500. A dollar more and my face would freeze up in shock for a minute.
Idealy though, I'd expect it to launch around $300 (but I definitely wouldn't mind if it was even cheaper). However, like the 3DS, I'll be waiting for better games before I take the plunge, though an Uncharted launch title may make me think otherwise.

Being stronger than the 3DS doesn't mean it has to be more expensive.. hell the PSP only has one screen vs two on the 3DS. Why can't they get it at 200? ;s

The reason I think the PSP wont be $200 is because the PSP2 will have way better tech than the 3DS. Sony just cannot afford it. But until we finally get to see the system it's all opinion up until now.
I expect it to launch at around $279, whether thats reasonable or not depends on the hardware/features/games its gonna launch with... for now though we know pratically nothing so lets hear first some details from Sony and then start speculating about prices :)
I would imagine at most $250.00 because they need to be competative with the 3DS unless they got some techy ace up the sleeve...We will know soon enough.JynxzorI think the ace in their sleeve will be the fact of how damn powerful it's suppose to be... -drools- @_@
with the rumored specs i think we are banking on a 350 to 600 dollar handheld ,
-3ds and psp launch/launched at 249.99 as it is , and have lower specs the general rule is the higher the specs are the higher the cost also the lower battery life it will indeed have
those saying it will be 300 -no way, 200 definately not , -their first handheld was already priced at 249,99 so was the psp go , -and that did not have a physical media bay so that proves prices can be 400 sony dont care , they have to make money and this is how they do it

Well technology has increased alot since the PSP's release so expecting it to be 249.99 isn't a stretch of the imagination.I can't imagine a handheld released for $300.
And I can't imagine Sony pricing the PSP2 at the same price as the PS3, and more expensive when the PS3 probably drops price this year.
But then who would have imagined "$599".
Let's hope they've learned from past mistakes. I don't think we'll find out until E3 though even though rumor has it it will be announced next week.
I don't know. At Sprint earlier today I was pretty surprised at the MSRP on a lot of phones, around 450 bucks on a lot of them. I don't think the PSP2 would cost that much, but it would probably be more worth it than a phone, which usually break within a couple of months anyway.
