The company makes a crap load of profit for a reason. They know how to turn a profit. If I were in charge of the business and my job was to find ways to turn profit I would be doing the same things.

I saw all 9 episodes. After seeing them I hate Gamestop more then ever. Dont say "its just a business" cause there are other good businesses that don't screw all their customers. Also after seeing how it is to work there I never ever want to work in one.

I worked at gamestop, and i can confirm that some of that is true ( Some of the things he mentioned may have happened to him, but not to me ) Example: The part about us being told to sell used copies, is true.

The guy seems like he's trying to act like Yahtzee. It's unfortunate that his voice is so boring.

Anyway, I didn't watch all of 'em, but I'm still going to buy from GameStop no matter what because of personal convience.

The guy said he admires Yahtzee. So thats why he did it like this. Yea I never sell my games to gamestop. Only to ebay.

They are probably the number one reason everything may go digital distrabution in the not too distant future. No more hard copies because publishers and devs cant make any money off someone buying a used copy of a game instead of a new one.

I never trade games in anyways. Good thing about gamestop though is you can play the game for a week then return it for free hahaha. Anyways, I go to gamestop for the reserves, I'm usually gonna buy the game at full price first day it comes out anyways and it's usually the same price everywhere else.

You can't really blame Gamestop to much though. If I were to shovel cow crap into a box and sell it for $30 and will constantly have people buying it then why wouldnt I keep doing it.

The problem is that the consumers are willing to let Gamestop continue to do this. If customers started being upset with it enough to hurt sales then Gamestop would have to change their ways of doing things.

But lucky for Gamestop 99% of the customers they see now barely know the most basic things about video games so they don't really understand that they are making bad deals.

How hard is it for some people to say no? Yeah, when I go to buy something at Gamestop they sometimes ask me if I want to make a pre-order, but they're friendly and I just say "no thanks." They smile and send me on my merry way. I think this issue is percieved as a much bigger problem than it really is because the people complaining about it have poor social skills. I never once accidentally pre-ordered a game I didn't want or bought a used game when I wanted a new one just because the casheer asked me if I wanted to.

If you end up paying $X more for a used game at Gamestop/EB than another retailer, it's your own damn fault. Capitalism and such.

I knew that GameStop was evil. They ripped me a new a-hole MANY times when I was a kid back around 6-8 years ago but damn... I didn't know it was that bad. They'll never get another system or game from me. I wish I would've just kept everything instead of trading in all of my childhood memories for pennies on the dollar.

I used to use them a ton like, 10 years ago (back in the N64 days). Now a days, not so much, Unless they're doing a midnight release of a game I want to go to. I went at midnight for GTA4, and I'm going again for TFU. And i've only traded games in once in the past 2 years.

yeah i just went there last week to see what i would get for Turok and UT3 on the PS3 and I would get 11 bucks cash or 14 bucks store-credit by trading in two games I got for 60 bucks each. I couldnt believe what I heard when he said 11 and 14.

I went to game crazy it and it was a bit better with 14 and 20.

But still, with any games I sell from now on its strickly craiglist/ebay because they just screw you over hard.

When I was younger I was foolish to think that Gamestop giving you $80 for 10 newish games was awesome. I've come to realize that I got wallet raped while they laughed doing it........

My collection is pretty big but I've traded in at least 40-50 games in there. for a total of about $400-450 dollars. I'm glad I stopped sophomore year of high school and realized the beauty of ebay.

Some people don't take "no" for an answer. Anyway, I never trade in used games at places like this. I usually find myself better off just keeping all my games. Besides, there may come a time when I'll want to play it again.

Everytime gamespots screws me, i screw them.

What i do:

I buy a brand new game, for example a ps3 game, i open a little bit (just enuff for the cd to come out) of plastic carefully from the opening of the box. Get the CD out without ripping apart the plastic so that i can tape it back with clear tape where i opened it from.

Then i put a fake cd in and tape the opening and return it.

Already done it with 20 games. So i own 20 games for free. If they want to play the game, fine with me!

I wanted to order a game from Gamestop once, they were asking 22 euro for the shipping, more than half the price of the game. Needless to say i ordered from another US site, and ended up paying 3 euro for the shipping and the game itself was 2 euro cheaper too. Got the game 5 days later (It said 4 to 14 days on gamestop site, so it wasn't faster from them) So yeah, screw Gamestop.
