It was fine. Better than, oh no!, here come the zombies again.DarthmattThere were no zombies in RE4.
[QUOTE="TyrantDragon55"]It was alright, the corny dialogue kinda ruined it for me.

lol what the corny dialogue was like the best part. I laughed my ass off at some of those parts
Same here, but a game like Resident Evil should not make you laugh.

that's the f'n truth. I loved the gameplay, but the dialog was dripping cheese.Â
RE4 doesn't have a story so much as it has a wretched little pile of stolen cliches that it uses to propel you from one ridiculous action segment to the next.
They did some clever stuff with AI and event scripting in the initial village area, but that seems to have taken it all out of them.Â
Pretty horrible. "Rain or shine, you're going down Saddler!!!!!!1"Mark36111
"Saddler, you're second rate."
Pretty horrible. "Rain or shine, you're going down Saddler!!!!!!1"Mark36111That's the dialogue, not the storyline. RE games were famous for having corny dialogue and awful voice accting. Ever since REmake they've now had decent voice acting and still corny dialogue. I think it adds to the charm of the series.

RE 1, 2, and 3 all had great stories. RE4's was just as lame as the dialogue.

Well theres two ways to look at it. As a single solitary game: The story was ok. The conflict between Krauser and Leon was cool and while simple the overall story was still decent. As a member of the Resident Evil storyline: Bad. This game offered less to the overall storyline than any other RE game. However, I don't think this weighed it down because RE4 will alter the gameplay of RE5 and then we'll have a truly great game with a great story, I think. As long as Chris is in it.
Are you a bad enough dude?Let's see... you are assigned to go save the president's daughter and some crazy **** goes down. That's about it. :P
I need to go rebuy that game... but I don't know if I should wait for the Wii remake or just get a cheap copy of it for the Cube...Â

The Cube version is still $20 new, IIRC. The Wii edition is only weeks away, $30, has all of the additional content from the PS2 version, and does true 16:9 instead of the Cube's letterboxing. I say wait.
P.S. It's amusing, innit, that the first Wii game to have inarguably better graphics than RE4 is... RE4.

No, the graphics are better by definition - the Wii version is running the same game at a higher resolution.Â
