Id say mine are pretty high! Theres alot of games considered to be absolutely great by so many here that I have found meh, Uncharted 2, Mass effect 2 and Super Mario Galaxy come striaght to mind! Theres also conversely a number of games that seemed to be near universely criticised here that I actually thought were very good eg Fear 2!

They used to be pretty high back when I was a Nintendo cynic... but over the years I've become more light-hearted when it comes to games, and appreciate fun more than specific elements as they compare to other games. That is the biggest problem with the "professional review" industry today... too much comparison and not enough basing it off the merits of THAT game. I think Cursed Mountain really opened my eyes to quality experiences hidden beneath lower production values. I appreciate unique design and effort more than how much money has been sunk into a game these days. That, and I just picked up Deadly Premonition after searching, and searching, and searching for it... so I have to be REALLY open-minded when playing that. Lol. :3

Very high. I don't play a game unless it has 1080p, 60fps and has AAAA score.

As high as the moon in the sky, I only play AAAA games, which have earned my approval.

I just want to have fun. I'm no elitist. I'm not closed minded to any genre or platform. I don't try to dictate to anyone what a "Real Gamer" is. I don't criticize anyone else for what they like. I believe gaming is for all, and anyone who likes to play video games, whether on the Wii or a high end PC, is a gamer. I would say my standards are high because in my opinion everything I like is good. I don't care what reviewers or other System Warriors think of the games or platforms I like.

I think my standards are pretty darn high honestly, although depending on the games I reviewed some people might disagree at times.

Mass Effect 2 is a great game and I enjoyed almost every second of it, but I honestly have NO idea how it got a 9.5 on IGN and how so many consider it to be one of the best games ever made. It is buggy, could use a bit of work in graphics (although its nice), very linear (cover and shoot), too easy, could use a bit of work on some facial animations and such, and so on. I mean I got stuck many times on the environment, a person, or whatnot. The combat is very stale and easy, the mining is boring, and the game broke on me at the end to where I had to restart to complete it. With all that said, I do indeed really like both ME's, but they are far from masterpieces. 3 on the other hand has the potential to be, as they seem to be fixing all that was wrong with 1 and 2.

Uncharted 2 on the other hand I find to be one of the best games ever made. Say what you will, the game is one of the most polished there is, and I find it to be quite unique, enjoyable, and memorable. The graphics are top notch, the characters are likable, the animations and VA is phenomenal, the multiplayer addictive, and the game is just darn fun. There is very little you can say that is wrong with the game, although I can understand if you don't like it (for some odd reason :P).

I have given seven 10's out from the many games I have played.

Oh nuts, I like Call of Duty too. So I wouldn't go with "high standards".. more like "extremely picky".

If a game's fun, it's all good. Some might say I have low standards, I say you're all snobs and care to much about trivial crap.

Mine must be higher then, because I enjoyed Uncharted 2, but it is nowhere near one of the best games ever made for me.

I also enjoyed ME2, but still found it to be only a decent game, nothing grand.

High enough for gameplay centered gems like Bayonetta/Vanquish, low enough for RPGs from Bethesda lol. I like all genres and enjoy most games as long as graphics are acceptable, gameplay is enjoyable and the game itself isn't short.

Wish I had a gaming PC for Total War games though, my standards might have been higher.

lol, and what is SO wrong with Uncharted 2? I mean I can understand if you dont like it, but the game is really polished, fun, and pretty unique. My seven 10's are Super Metroid, Mario 64, Uncharted 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, A Link To the Past, Ocarina of Time, and Diablo II. I can understand someone not giving Diablo 2 a 10, although I think it was underrated on GS. That is one game I think about changing from a 10 to a 9.5, although it is my second favorite game of all time, and has given me WAY too many hours of play :P. Way more than any other game ever, so that is something special to me.

I find games like Oblivion, Fable II, Killzone 2, MW2, Bioshock, Fallout 3, ME, ME2, Gears 1 (never played others), Super Mario Galaxy, Super Mario Galaxy 2 (although extremely good), GTA IV, and many more to be overrated, aslthough all solid, and some amazing.

Uncharted 2 is pretty much a base for a horrible action adventure movie with cliche characters, dialogue and plot. That already knocks points down. It was a very predictable game, the MP was also a little unbalanced. The gameplay was good, but not the best and I wouldn't have knocked points down for the story if the gameplay had been up to my standards.

I agree on your overrated games, except the Galaxy games, never played them.

However, I would never give a 10 to any of those games. MGS4, UC2 and Super Metroid definitely don't deserve 10's. I would give UC2 an 8.5 and MGS4 an 8 personally.

Only games that would come close to 10's are OOT, Link to the Past and Diablo 2, but I'd probably only give them 9's or 9.5's.

Oblivion and Fable 2 were pretty awful though, same with the CoD games.

Extremely high for me to recommend a game to someone and admit I like it. I will buy pretty much anything tho.. probably getting Brink and Homefront later today even tho I'm pretty sure I'll hate both.
