How important are corporate profits to you?

Well if I enjoy the games and or product that a company makes or funds then I want to them to do well so they can continue to deliver such games and or products.

The best situation is when these companies make a good amount of profit but not too much where they start getting cocky and do stupid shit.

Companies make profit, they are more likely to suport the consumers and make better games. They don't make profit, something like Vita happens.

That's about the extent of how much I care about these corporations.

I really doubt that most gamers care about the profits of their favorite console makers or developers. There are concerned if the games they produce are worth playing.

i don't give a shit about billion dollar corporations or managers that make millions.

Selfish attitude. Without corporations making billions in profits, we would have less access to goods and services, which would dramatically drive up prices.

I guess all those developers should go indie, right? By the way, how many indie system/hardware manufacturers are there?

Very important to me. I lose sleep thinking about Microsoft being overcome by Sony.

Don't worry, Microsoft has a great portfolio of products to keep them in the black. Sony, on the other hand, is in some serious trouble. I wouldn't be surprised if they got bought out within the next 5 years.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. This will definitely help me sleep more at night. Sometimes I worry about Major Nelson and Phil Spencer though. I know how much they do for us and the company and I hope they are not working too hard.

It's important Sony and Microsoft do well. Phil Spencer has bosses he has to ask for money to make new games.

It kinda depends. I do want companies that make games I enjoy to do good. I also want games I like to do good. But it's not the profit I care about. It's them delivering more of what I want to do good. For example: I love pretty much every game from NIS, so I don't want them to go away and that's why I like to hear that they do good.

So selfish. We need these corporations more than they need us. They provide us with the amazing consoles and games which bring us happiness...In other words, corporations make us happy. Show some appreciation.
