How in the world did anyone not play Sleeping Dogs ?

So i got to play this game from the PS+ monthly offer and it struck me how good the game was considering i expected to delete it after a couple of minutes into it but boy was i suprised to find a GEM. It is a very unique game with alot of 1980s Chinese movie nostalgia and i dont know why everyone managed to miss playing this game at all  or is Square Enix very poor in the marketing department ?

I'll get it when i build a new rig.

I was gonna wait until it 20$ since it looks interesting. At that point I had pretty much committed to buying a 3DS, SM3DL, RER. I'll get it later.

Got it for the PC.

I still need to finish it (I'm lazy) played it for 10hrs total. 

It's not my cup of tea (not interested in GTA either). But, I tried the demo on Steam. Looks great.

Yeah the game was great. Had to play on my 360, though :( Still, it was awesome.

I've played like 2 hours of it but have gotten side tracked by other games. It seems very enjoyable thus far. Last weekend some of the DLC was 50 cents so I bought a bunch of them. I think its awesome how you can dress up like Adam Jensen, Agent 47, and Rico Rodriguez from Just Cause 2

I actually finished it a couple weeks ago on PC. Fantastic game.

To answer your question: it looked kind of iffy before release, and while I think the marketing for it was good, it's a new IP. It's kind of rough to be one of those in this day and age. I think it sold around 2 million, though, so it'll probably get a sequel. 

It's a solid game. Not entirely original but it takes a tried and true formula and masters it. If you're looking for some new "experience" chances are you'll be disappointed. However, if you want a very solid gameworld built upon near perfect mechanics then you'll enjoy it. The story is the weakest part of it but even then it's not bad, just nothing you wouldn't have already seen if you have any familiarity with cop stories.

Some might not like it as it's a bit easy but you can always replay missions to get the highest score possible and max out your ranks. One of the few open world games where I truly have no qualms with anything it does gameplay wise. Driving, shooting, brawling, platforming, etc are all very fluid and well refined. Loved the hand to hand combat especially.

I suppose the short story saves it from padding and repetitive missions.

Square Enix is considering making a franchise out of it.

It's in my backlog on Steam. I'll be playing it really soon though. Just too many good games to play, damn Steam Sales.

Is a great game! I had alot of fun with it!

I bought it for $20 and It was well worth the money. I honestly got bored of gta4 half way but this game kept me hooked the entire time.
