How In the World Did Skate Get a 7.5?!

I dont get it the game is awesome, I keep rereading the review and it just doesnt make sense to me....the game feels like a solid AA title heck even AAA.....

Do you guys feel GS screwed up on that one?

i have never enjoyed any demo this much, i play it all the time and just try new tricks its great. im cashing my paycheck tomarrow and buyingit.

this game is sooo much fun, but its made for skateboarders who can appreciate and understand the style(thats why i like it). and not so much gamers who just want to land big tricks... tony hawk...

I have no idea. Jeffs reviews have sucked for the most part lately. (not bashing the halo3 review) this game deserved 9.0 easy.

man i loved the demo, idc im still gonna get it. i downloaded skate demo loved it, downloade tony hawk demo after, delete it after 10 mins

Skate got a 7.5 for the same reason Tony Hawk 3 got a 10.

Honestly, what type of skating games has there been in the last several years? Yeah, Tony Hawk. Where even my 5 year old kid can pull off tricks. Sorry if Skate actually makes you think and work for it, lord forbid.xboxdevil

Wow, I was only judging from the demo but I expected at least high AA. It's the only skateboarding game I've ever enjoyed >_>..

Edit: Looking at Gamerankings, Gamespot seems a bit out of touch with other game review sites.

I think it deserved at least an 8. I'm always finding new lines every time I play.

I think people have been playing a bit to much tony hawk and forgot about real skating.

I feel that it's atleast an 8.5 if not more. It has some weird glitches and the controls all seem very similar and can be difficult at times, but those are really the only flaws. The control scheme really isn't a flaw though. Practice
makes perfect. This game gives you a sense of accomplishment when you finally nail that crazy trick.BioShockOwnz
