What do you guys think they will do to surpass what Microsoft has announced? They will need something completely mindblowing to do so.

[QUOTE="bobcheeseball"]Laughable. Will not stand a chance. The core market is not there. There is always a market for Mario and Zelda. Microsoft announced Natal to attract casuals, but Nintendo has been doing that for the past 3 years. So they are about even now. My point is, Nintendo does not need to do much to respond to this. They will be showing Wii Sports Resort and possibly the new Wii Fit. That will be enough to counter Microsoft from a casual point of view. As for the core gamer, who knows what Nintendo will do.Super Mario Galaxy 2 + New Zelda= Checkmate

Sony: Cheap attempt at motion controller. Nintendo: Indescribable awesomeness that will blow Xboxes casualness out of the water.Head_of_games
Yeah that was my first thought as well, Microsoft is new to the casuals, but for Nintendo its just like home, they will probably throw out some outstanding new add-on (Next to Wii Motion +).
Sony can't.....atleast i dont think they can, Microsoft scares the crap out of them, they still havn't gotten microsoft back for taking their former exclusives so far all sony has done this gen is follow microsofts lead......microsoft comes out with achievements......sony makes trophies. etc etc

Why? Mindblowing is not how I would describe Microsofts presentation. I think you are getting a little lost in the hype. Let us recap.
1. MGS spinoff
2. A few games we already knew about
3. Eye toy copy with supposed better tech
4. and finally a 12 year old virtual boy to tell all of your secrets to
does that seem about right?

I think your just tricking yourself into thinking that they didn't announce much, they also showed there new exclusives, Announced Halo Reach for next year, Natal is bigger than some Eye Toy Knock-off, it could be the revolution for gaming for all we know. but for now we just need to wait for the other two to catch up.
All they need to do is show a new Zelda with Wii Motion +.
WiiMan21
zelda motion +
=
AWESOMENESS :O
nothing , nothing can compare, not even dancing koalas
Nintendo doesn't have to.

My thoughts exactly, Nintendo is basicaly not in the Sony Vs Microsoft war.......Nintendo is not after neither of them, but Microsoft is after sony 0___0
All Nintendo has to do is show me footage for a new Zelda, and it'll spark my interest. As for Sony, I have no idea.

Well if games we already know about doesnt impress, then Sony is in for an awful presentation tmrw. There is no way they will outdo MS. MGS Spinoff? Call it what you want, I call it MGS on X360I think you guys are putting a little to much faith into unproven tech. I know you guys want something to get excited for I just don't think this is it. I am all about being proven wrong if this somehow ushers in next gen gaming interaction. However everything I saw looked a little smoke and mirrors to me.
Microsoft didn't have much to announce that interests me, but the likes of Forza 3, Splinter Cell, Conviction and Halo 3: ODST is virtually guaranteed AAA material and will pull in massive audiences. I have no doubt that Microsoft are happy with what they've got.
It's still a disappointment for me though. I have a feeling Sony and Nintendo's conferences will be far more exciting.
Nintendo has wii-fit plus! Thats instant win, just like how wii music was instant win last year!
well at least with casuals............. lol
kenakuma
Wii Music was a failure, and Nintendo themselves know it, they look back at the sales compared to Wii Fit and weep. They arn't going to make that same mistake as they did last year, this year, they are going to throw out everything they've got to surpass what Microsoft brought into the fight.
Nintendo will use sales, charts and graphs. Sony will showcase their new RIIIDGGGGEEEE RACCERR! :PStevo_the_gamerThey don't stand a chance without showcasing giant enemy crabs and real time weapon change.
you are aware of the fact that 1. wii fit plus will probably outsell gta iv 2. wii music outsold deadspace and mirrors edge combinedNintendo has wii-fit plus! Thats instant win, just like how wii music was instant win last year!

mylo was a tech demo
I think all Sony has to do is show some games that actually look good. Honestly... the only game that definitively might force me to open my wallet is Alan Wake. As of now... looks like the last game that I will have bought for the 360 is Gears 2. But if Sony doesn't show any impressive games either... then they too will be a disappointment. Honestly... it's all about the games... isn't that what a console is for? Natal looks great... I think its innovative. So are a lot of other things that came out in the past associated with consoles. Don't jump ship until something more concrete is available for it. That's actually something smart to consider. And seriously... if you're gonna use facebook and twitter on your 360... you need to find something else better to do.[QUOTE="clyde46"][QUOTE="bobcheeseball"]Laughable. Will not stand a chance. I think now you are just trying to look at this spinoff with your rose colored glasses. Microsoft will be humiliated by SONY this year just wait 8)Well if games we already know about doesnt impress, then Sony is in for an awful presentation tmrw. There is no way they will outdo MS. I find it hard to see what the big deal is. MGS2: Substance was ported to the Xbox last gen.
Completely agree, and i think Nintendo is going to reveal more than juse those two. If they release those two big guns however, they won E3.Super Mario Galaxy 2 + New Zelda= Checkmate

Thirded. Assuming Nintendo have taken note of how lame their 2008 conference was, they should have no probably sailing through it tomorrow.
