I've had mine since March 06 and it works fine. I have a really hard time believing they breakdown as much as everyone on here posts.

At the height of the problem retailers reported as high of a 33% failure rate. A quick google will bring up multiple sources for that figure.

Yeah, but what are these guys doing to them? I get the feeling most of these people don't know how to treat a console or anything for that matter well in the first place. I've seen how some kids treat their games and it's just atrocious the way they're all scratched up. Just give it some ventilation and leave it alone.[QUOTE="GrumpyWalrus"][QUOTE="Renegade_Fury"]

At some point you have to look at what the owner is actually doing to the console. The odds of getting 4 busted 360's is just too low for that to happen randomly. I don't even like the 360 very much, but I think it gets more criticism than it deserves. The same thing happened with a lot of the PS2 owners that I knew. I think a lot of the fanboy's in here aren't willing to admit when their company screws up (M$ included). btw, I still have an NES purchased in the 1990's that still works.. I've been gaming for a long time and the PS/XB brand are the ONLY system's that ever gave me problems..[QUOTE="OhSnapitz"][QUOTE="Renegade_Fury"] Yeah, but what are these guys doing to them? I believe OhSnapitz. I live in a pretty dust-free environment and all my systems get proper ventilation. I've been through more systems than he has.

If anything I'm primarily a PC gamer, you can take a look at my collection if you'd like. Also like you all of my old consoles still work, and that ranges from intellivision to 360. All I'm saying is that the chances of breaking a 360 so many times is just ridiculously low even if it is one out of three. I won't deny that these new consoles might be more fragile, but them breaking more than once out of sheer chance is just bull. The only explanation is that the owner is not treating it properly.[QUOTE="OhSnapitz"] BS.. I'm one of the biggest 360 supporters in this forum and the 360 is a POS hardware wise.. I have several friends that purchased 360's over the last fews years and ALL of them have RR'd at some point. I would take the 360 over ANY system this gen, but it's a POS hardware.. period.[QUOTE="OhSnapitz"][QUOTE="Renegade_Fury"] I call BS out on you. 4 WTF? The only people I've ever seen complaining about breaking their consoles usually treat their stuff like ****, so it's no surprise. I already said I think the new consoles are fragile (well aside from Nintendo, they usually can take a lot of abuse), but I refuse to believe they all magically breakdown just from playing them. It's just too low of a chance for that to randomly happen.
i am sorry but i couldnt help loling :oops:I'm on my 4th. mine ranged from a year andhalfto this other one microsoft shipped to me which lasted 20 min...

Got mine on Dec/2007 and it never gave me a single problem, not a single freeze, too. I use it 5~6 hours a day.
Is this really necessary? Everyone knows the 360 has issues with the RROD hence the 3 year warranty from purchase.
Talk about beating a dead horse.
Edit: My first 360 lasted about a year and a half (was a launch console). Second one is good and still going. Took about a week and a half to get a replacement when the first one RROD.
So far a few months, I'm scared of it randomly breaking on me.siLVURcrossyou can kinda tell when it'll break soon, it acts funny and stuff
