If it's still selling less than 360 and Wii by the end of the year, I believe some developers will start to abandon the system, but it will still have people making games for it... question is, will they be exclusive?
if it continues to sell the worst of the big 3? It's the most expensive to program for as well.

50,000 isn't really a whole lot considering it cost $200-$300 more. and the fact that right now MS has a better catalog of games. They still got Motorstorm, Heavenly sword, MGS4, FF13, FF13VS. and Killzone to come. that will help Sony. and where's the studio who has been supporting the PS2 for all these years and came out and said, "we're not going to support PS3"????
Topics like these make me wish that the PS3 will pull a PS2 and completley destroy the competition. These boards would be turned upside down by the complete ownage that would occur....

For a console with no really strong IPs in the market and high price, its selling almost as much as Xbox 360, thats not bad. Not even counting that PS2 its selling a lot, i think Sony might keep their dev support for a while.

That means it appeals to a broader audience and that is great for devs and gamers. This is the reason the PS2 had such variety in games, because it had to appeal to a broad audience. THe PS3 has all the dev support it had last gen. All the great games you loved on the PS2 WILL be on the PS3. Most exclusive, some multiplat but no matter what they will be on the PS3. SO it comes down to do you as a gamer wanna buy a system for its games, or buy another system for not much cheaper and pray for another systems games and dev support. PS3 is going strong with little signs of slowing down as the future comes.
