I've played about 12 hours, although I'm hardly anyway through it. I'm just really enjoying messing around, it also makes the missions seem less repetitive as it's a nice change from assassinating guards and killing beggars.

Just how repetitive is Assassin's Creed?
For a game of it's caliber. very. This game does not live up to it's hype at all. the story is great, but doing the SAME 3 tasks over and over before each assassination is just not what i expected. the gameplay is fun, but that get's repetitve quick as well. So much potential, wasted.
Probably 10. I just wanted to see how the story unfolded. The last hour of the game was damn good. I'm glad I played through it all. And TC, if you really want to know how the whole ending translates to, and what it all means, I suggest go here (big spoilers for those who have not beat the game. I suggest you do!)

Just how repetitive is Assassin's Creed?
Every mission is the same.
This is how I beat it: Mild-[spoiler] Climb every high-rise>Save casual from thugs>Pickpocket some guy>Eavesdrop on some random guys>Stalk then beat some guy>Return to Assassins Headquarters>Go find and Kill main boss>Return to Master. [/spoiler] That has to be done in 3 total cities 9 different times.
You have the option of searching for various flags; Jump through venders booths and Scale all the high-points for achievements. The story is good I would say, deals with religious and sacreligious people very heavily. The combat is as good as you make it, some people may find it depthless and repetative aswell. The graphics and production values are amazing especially the ending when you arrive at the fort just before killing the final "Infidel." You will literally say "wow." The ending is confusing in the sense that it really doesn't end. I think its because they've got a trilogy planned for it.
