How long do you think it'll take for the PS4 to catch up to the 720 in sales?

Think it'll take another six years? Gosh, I sure hope for Sony's sake that it doesn't take that long. They can't afford to fail two gens in a row!

PS3 never caught up to 360 yet.

Those systems arn't even out yet.....and why do you care? All I care about is games, and I know what system I'm going to for the best, and it's not the Xbox.

We still dont know the launch dates, depends on whether or not xbox gets decend head start. Luckily though, MS can easily afford to fail three gens in a row, so no need to worry about them.

It'll outsell the NextXbox. Heard it here first. SONY have too much worldwide appeal, plus they actually make games.

Microsoft lack worldwide appeal, and as of late have really stopped creating new and inventive titles, sticking to the same old worn out titles, that are selling less, and being played less.

That being said, I'll prefer the 720 as all my friends will own it, and we'll no doubt have countless hours of multiplayer fun.

I think they'll perform about evenly, just as they did this gen.

I don't think Halo will be as popular as next gen, it's a trend and trends change over time. Same goes for COD, the shooter phase is going to pass. I remember when it was Mortal Kombat era and everything was a fighter and people thought it would last forever, but as you can see Mortal Kombat is not as popular as it once was. These games will always have a good fanbase, but the next Xbox is going to need more than just Halo and Gears next gen.

The next Xbox won't start out with a massive lead like the 360 did. I highly doubt Sony are going to let the next Xbox launch a year before the PS4. They'll probably both launch at around the same time. Plus Sony won't completely mess up the price like the PS3.

Don't know if PS4 will do as well as Next Xbox,don't care either.It will have loads of great exclusive games though and I'll be buying one.Won't be touching next Xbox!

PS4 will come out before or at least the same time so it will not fall behind. It will also be priced more competitively. No year's headstart, no game library advantage, and no price advantage this time for MS. Go to the main page and Today's Gaming Headlines and select the one with the PS3 console in it and watch the video. The PS4 is coming out this fall to next spring. The next Xbox is not coming out before the PS4, so there will be no advantage for MS this time around.

Agree with what you guys are saying about launch times, and pricing. I also see Sony jumping out to a lead in the next gen. I really think people (myself included) are growing tired of paying for Xbox Live, and M$$ won't be able to just keep throwing us Halo and Gears forever. PS has some great exclusives, and if they can tweak Killzones online multiplayer to be as good or even better than Halo, then I think Sony could be a run away winner in the Next Gen.
