Now, I'm an owner of a 360, would like a Wii, and am waiting until things pick up with the PS3 to buy one. How long do you think until the PS3 really starts to pick up speed?

I guess it depends on your definition of the terms. Lemmings still insist the PS2 sucked and was never good. So obviously they won't like the PS3. The cows will say the PS3 is worth it right now and you should rush out and buy one.
I say wait until there is a collection of games you want to buy...not just one or two but a handful.Â

you have to answer his question based on what he currently owns. if you own a 360 and a PS3 you can give him good insight just as I can. as an owner of both, I can safely say that he's not missing a damn thing right now, and probably won't until the Summer/Fall when some of the really looked-forward-to PS3 games come a'knocking. Until then, his 360 gives him the best gaming and online experience with the best library of games anywhere. there isn't one of my PS3 games that I can say justified my PS3 purchase at the time. But I do enjoy Dark Resurrection and Resistance. If you voted for 5 you're very ignorant to make such an assumtion of that magnitude 4 months after release.DA_B0MBfor his situation, it's all about #2. if he didn't own any system, either system would yield him something good to do with the likely limited resources he has. both game systems offer hardware + 3 games worth buying and online play. on a base level, that's kinda what you look for. but since he owns a 360, he can already get most of the PS3's best experiences (because most of the best games are multiplat), so the price of admission can not be justified yet. But in time, it'll be easy to justify.
After March there will actually be a reason to get a PS3. It will actually have games.Wasdieagreed. but for owners of multiple systems, it's more like May/June-ish. IMO, anyway.
I bought the ps3 as a blu-ray player 1st that played games but now that I have vf5 I can't stop playing. Sure I still have my 360,wii and pc but for me vf5 is pimp. I guess it really come down to what you like WGAF what others like (reviewers, fabois, haters ect).  LordoverFeindI'm trying to decide whether or not to rent VF5 first or pick it up tonight :?
The industry standard for when a console becomes good = one year markagreed.

give the system a chance people.....:roll:Â shaggymcpyou know... I read comments like this one and can only look back to 2005 and wonder just what in the hell went wrong. After E3, 2005...the expectation amongst many SW forumites was that the 360 was the one that would need to be given "a chance". funny how time tells every story.
Just to let you know, Killzone 2 won't be good, I am not accusing you of hyping it but, STOP HYPING THAT GAME EVERYONE! HOW DOES A 6.9 SEQUEL BECOME A HALO KILLER? Graphics alone aren't everything, you also needs good gameplay and a good story line.GhettoTaxii
