Launch titles November of this year we'll see a noticeable graphics quality increase from next gen to the Wii U. In 3 years, there will be no comparison and the Wii U will probably be around $99, relegated to children's rooms while the PSQuad and Xbox1000 own the living room entertainment center.

so I guess my thread was "TLDR" for you? Or do you place the quality of games solely on graphics and tech?

The PS4 and X1's sidekicks, the 360 and PS3, already have the wii eww in a choke hold. They are waiting for the X1 and PS4 to arrive to finish the job.

Dat Super Mario 3D World.  I'm starting to get really excited for this.

Eh, it depends. Multiplats will be considered in the console war and since the Wii U will miss out on a lot of those people will use that against the system. Just exclusives though, hard to say. There are a lot of great looking exclusives coming for both the Xbox One and PS4, but the Wii U also has great exclusives coming and already here.

I dunno.

I'm guessing it will take closer to a year and then they'll exponentially take the Wii U down each consecutive year based on the above criteria

Then why do you have them? Lol

Because he probably has the line of thinking that "I might want to play that old game one day", but in reality never will. I'm the same way. I don't know why I keep my old consoles when I never play them. I always get bored of them after 30 minutes. I have played SMW, SMRPG and sonic 2 to absolute death....but i keep them around.

I don't use Metacritic because it isn't a true aggregate score. They weigh site's merit differently when calculating the average... I don't think that's right. Who's to decide who's opinion has more merit than another's?

Not very long for the Xbox One (the launch window alone might outdo it). A bit longer for the PS4. It just depends on when, or if, Nintendo ever shifts their game development into maximum overdrive.

Play review scores all you want, TC, but those lineups aren't very impressive.

The wii u is playing catch up to the ps3/360 and it can't even see the next gen consoles. On sales the wii u is going to get crushed and most likely get pulled from the market early. I feel sorry for all the people who bought a wii u.

If talking about everything combined (multiplats and exclusives), probably 9-12 months, including the titles coming in the first half of 2014 for Wii U

While the WiiU does have a pretty ok start up against the PS4 and Xbox One.

It'll only take till Spring of 2014 to catch up with the WiiU with the other consoles being much more popular than the WiiU.

Depends how long it takes Gamespot to review their launch lineups. Leaving aside last gen ports which noone apart from sheep care about (having played them already on their 360/PS3/PC) the launch lineups will beat WiiU's first year.
