Although I gotta say, the races in Halo are very similar to that of Starcraft.

Every console ripped off Coleco Vision :lol: Pong ripped off Tennis. Ice hocky ripped off figure skating. Humans ripped off monkeys. Dogs ripped off horses air planes ripped off turtles(they both have a front and a rear)

Thats the only 3 things that you listed that can even remotly be considered close to what is in halo.  The Elites sorta look like the aliens and tribes in gameplay a bit.  Though Halo was in development about the same time tribes was then advanced through the times to what we got in 2001 so I doubt they copied Tribes in many ways if at all.  Also of course they used their past game for experience, why wouldnt they.

Im pretty sure GM ripped off teh engine from locomotives from back in the 19th cent. I can see it now.. a camaro with a 30 ton train engine! image the 0-60 times of that powerhouse
