How many exclusives does MS have to reveal for 2009 to be considered a good year

My opinion is that Halo Wars was a good start, as was Lost & the Damned.

I pretty certain that Forza 3 will be revealed at E3

We know Halo ODST is coming in the fall

Considering all this I would be happy if MS revealed about 2 more exclusives this year (besides the Your in the Movies, Family type games which I'm sure they will have also). I think a true Conker sequel from Rare and I guess either Mass Effect 2 or something cool from Lionhead would be a well-rounded year for me. Also, I am willing to bet that Epic reveals some kind of Gears 2 added content (but maybe not).

What do you guys think?

Depends on what the PS3 will have. Everything in SW is comparative.

At least two more titles that interest me in my opinion, personally if they announce 4 more exclusives that i dont find to apealing then to me its a pretty bad year. So far Halo ODST is the one game i'm waiting for, passed on gta4 dlc, passed on halo wars etc. I would kill for Gears 3 by the end of the year.

Zero. As long as they maintain their second place position and continue to outsell the PS3 they really don't have to do anything. But they will.

Personally as long as they have good games coming out I couldn't care less about exclusives. That's what I have other systems for. I play all my multiplats on the 360 unless the PS3 version is significantly better which is rare.

I'm not asking PS3 fanboys what will satisfy them. I'm asking the 360 owners what they would be most happy with, like I said in my original post. I would be happy with Conker, a Gears2 expansion, Forza 3, and either ME2 or something cool from Lionhead in addition to what has already been released.ArchaoN

Well, ME2 is coming if not by the end of the year in early 2010- I'd love to see perfect dark 2 from rare and Alan Wake (I know I know, it is on pc also) And, MGS4 coming to 360 would be great. Anyway there is tons of multiplats I can't wait to play so it will be a good year for me whatever happens.

such dc, if you guys are content with a port box that's cool but don't shrug off support like you don't need it, i don't want to own an original xbox with better gfx

i'd like a good handful of diverse quality exclusives and some original ips wouldn't hurt.. during the fall they thought this ment family friendly games but maybe it's just the lack of quirky games i want filled, something colorful other than banjo or viva pinata.. some actual platformers, maybe an exclusive co op splitscreen brawler.. i'll get a ps3 or a pc if i want multiplat games

and am i the only one who doesn't care for any 09 exclusive.. maybe ninja blade but i really have no interest in dlc, if you're only hope is multiplats you know you have a weak library

Ithink 28 out of the 30 games i plan to buy in 2009 are on 360

So, why would i care for exclusives, when with 360 i have all PC gaming for 199$ and its own exclusives, which are wellcome but far from nessesary

with bioshock 2, alan wake, modern warfare 2, odst,etc.

One new killer exclusive coupled with Forza 3 and Halo ODST will do the 360 fine if they all reach AAA. Its not the lack of exclusives the 360 is facing, its the lack of quality exclusives. It'll take a lot to take out Sony this year.

but the lead platform isn't really a huge deal, you make it sound like they're awful on the pc or ps3

ps2 was the lead platform for multiplats and i didn't go running to buy one for those, that's for sure

whether or not the term port box means the games are being ported to the system is irrelevant, all it means is it's just a system of multiplats.. a dumping ground, and in some cases it is the secondary platform when it appeals to pc devs

Im a pretty broad gamer with regards to genre, and I personally, want to experience as many quality games as I can this generation. I consider AA and AAA quality games and for me a bunch of A's just don't cut it.

Of course, I'd be interested in particular A or below games but so far none of those have struck my interest.

1. If the game is built with the 360 in mind as the lead platform, then it isn't a port...PERIOD. If you choose to call the game a port, then that's fine, but it doesn't make you correct.

2.I never said anything about the quality of the other platforms versions (which are the actual ports BTW) But being the lead platform is a big deal. It means that the developers have developed the game with your system in mind playing to it's advantages and disadvantages.

funny that now since sony have showed us that they're stronger in their 1st party exclusives, while the 360 3rd party exclusives couldn't match the ps3's exclusives recently, the 360 fans don't care about exclusives anymore. Boy do i wish we can stroll trough 2007 again, when the ps3 had a very subpar exclusive line-up

I think MS needs a few heavy hitters. 2 or so. Halo ODST isn't what i would call a heavy hitter. Sure it will probably sell billions and make tons of money, but it seems a little bare on the content :? They need to announce 2 full fledged AAA status exclusives, and they'll be all good :)II_Seraphim_II
