[QUOTE="bytgames"] im not talking about single player games im talking about multiplayer games.
When I had a 360 i would buy about 5 games a year that i planned on playing online.
I then realized that because of xbox live, i was actually paying 10 dollars extra per game, then I would have been if i bought those games on Ps3
thats when it hit me how good of a deal it was that the PSN is free. and how big a ripoff the 360 is.
for example i will be playing co-op on RE 5 for $60 but on the 360 it would have cost me $70 dollars to play coop.

I think you're severely oversimplifying Xbox Live.
Even single player games benefit. Playing Dead Space, I can get an invite to join someone's party or joing a Halo 3 session. Speaking of Halo 3, your logic also doesn't take into account past years' games that I still play. What about old Xbox games? Those still work on XBL. So do arcade games.
I buy 6-10 games per year, not including arcade games.
Definitely. I feel the same way. It's all about how much you use the service. For a lot of PS3 users I see more of them playing games online rather then just taking advantage of DLC, downloadable games, etc, etc. And I guess sometimes playing online games is all that matters. I use Xbox Live not only to play games online but to do everything else available on the service. Whether is be watching Scrubs or the Dark Knight in HD, Xbox Live Arcade, Originals, Netflix, a bunch demos, tons DLC, online tournments, playing online with celebs(and kicking butt), etc, etc. I still haven't gotten into communication features. Or the fact that my friends and I still whip out the old Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge from the Xbox to play online. And Crimson Skies DLC is "still" available for download.
