i was at first..then i changed my mind. im going to wait another year and see what it has to offer as far as 3rd party support and new features get added to nint network etc.
I'll wait. 2013 seems like a decent year for PC, 3DS and PS3, so I can wait for the 720/PS4 to get announced. Then once I see what all of them offer I may make the move on a next gen console.
I have the Deluxe Wii U pre-ordered. I am still going back and forth about selling it for a profit this holiday season though since the launch line-up is weak outside of Zombie U which looks decent.
not at launch, I want to get one eventually though as I like dabbling in exclusives on every system, however I've already splurged quite a bit this last month on games, and I've still Far Cry 3 and Hitman to look forward to this year, then early next year there's Metal Gear Rising, Bioshock Infinite, Aliens Colonial Marines, Dead Space 3, Tomb Raider, Gears of War Judgement, God of War Ascension, Grand Theft Auto 5, and later Last of Us and maybe Last Guardian and Persona 5 will get release dates for this year... and that's just what I know of or can think of off the top of my head I'm sure there's a lot more coming we're not even aware of the Wii U will have to wait for me, I definitely want to get one eventually as Nintendo will have some worthy exclusives on it for sure, already Zombie U look awesome, Bayonetta 2 and Wonderful 101 and who knows maybe they'll get Vanquish 2 being so chum with Platinum Games, also I feel Nintendo might do a lot with Fatal Frame on the Wii U by somehow using the tablet like a camera, but at the very least there's Nintendo's classic IPs that will be reason enough for owning a Nintendo console, hopefully they'll decide to port Luigi's Mansion to the Wii U after the 3DS one runs its course, I'm definitely excited for a new Zelda or Metroid title, and surely they'll continue to make some great Mario titles
I like a couple early launch games, and the controller, but I dislike that it comes with such a low amount of storage space, and no ethernet port.
Nintendo's not one to heavily revise their consoles, but I hope that somewhere down the line they realize people need more storage for downloadable games, and content, and provide Wii Us with more memory.
Luckily I've got a backlog to worry about, so I'm not concerned with getting a Wii U at launch.
I am, I've always been pro ps3, but I'm so sick of these old **** consoles with it's crap 512mb of split ram, the menu is soo slow and sluggish in 2012, all I need out of the Wii U is for it to have slick menus and not suffer such framerate issues the PS3 has with multiplat open world games and ill be happy. I'll be getting the WiiU day 1 no doubt, I also now have a gaming PC, so it will be WiiU/PC until the ps4 and next xbox comes out with the exception that ill have to play the new god of war and the last of us on the PStripple.

I might check it out when the new Zelda comes out for it, or pokemon mmorpg. I m very happy with my ps3+PC and my 360 has been collecting dust since gears 3.
Never buy a console at launch.. wait a year or 2 for the slim or better version of it after the bugs and what not are gone and the good games have started kicking in.

Except with Nintendo's track record, they may never remodel it (maybe at the very end of its life) and there will be little to no defects at launch.
