How many more years will Counter Strike be the GOAT online FPS?

Seems like you made this thread just to attack anyone who disagrees with your opinion.

I would say WOW has taken its Crown.

Since the majority of gamers agree or admit that Counter Strike is the greatest of all time till now... how many more years do YOU think we'll have to wait until we see a game that has the same impact, longevity, popularity, and overall greatness that CS had? Also, if you think you already know which game will take CS's throne, feel free to say it. Edit: In my opinion, I'm not sure if it's even possible for a game to take it's throne TBH. quake online deathmatch had a much better impact than counter strike, hell counter strike is using the quake 1 engine lol.

H2 and H3 have had quite an impact on console online FPS's

it has had amazing longevity

and it is extremely popular

the kid who made counter strike mod actually took alot of idea's from action quake 2 mod.

i guess halo was overpraised because of the vehicles, yea i agree the vehicles are some of the best in a fps.

but the core gameplay actually sucks pretty much.

and yea, i'll admit, spartans and elites are slow...but that's why there is sprinting in the next game so they fixed that issue

they should bring back the health bar to call of duty like the first one.

halo was a forced impact on console gaming.

because xbox was microsoft's first console and halo was the only shooter avalible for the original xbox for 1# year basically.

so it forced it to get known.

if other shooters were avalible on xbox at the time halo would of sold less.

halo actually ruined call of duty.

the first call of duty had a health bar...now since halo combat evolved they added regenerating health like halo's regenerating shields.

plus ever since halo they added aim assist.

call of duty for the original xbox wasnt aim assist fest.
