I'll put it this way: To me, the PS3 is not worth $500 or even $400. I will NOT pay that much for just a few good games. Uncharted and R&C are not worth that much to me.

If the PS3 where to be cheaper it would all depend on if it had the games to justify it's price. At the moment i'd pay $175 at the most.

Easy, 360. The 360 at launch had more AAA's then the PS3 had in one year. (At gamespot that is... which is becoming less and less creditble)

At least my PS3 doesn't need to be treated wit the same level of delicacy and care as a newborn baby. Oh, and the dualshock 3, which I have, feels just fine.

To answer your question I think more people would have bought a 360 because spending $600 on a console is just silly.

i have a feeling that a lot of my fellow lemmings here are lemmings only because they couldent wait to get their hands on next-gen and had to get the 360 when it launched.
im basing thing on the assumption that most of you are hardcore gamers (since you waste your time on forums talkin about gaming) and i assume that hardcore gamers are usually first adopters as opposed to casuals who would wait it out for a price drop or an increase of interesting games.

Price and lack of games made me go for the 360. My first next-gen console was the Wii actually.cametall

same but i dont have it anymore and now i have the xbox360 aswell as the ps3

I bought a 360 after the PS3 had already come out. I waited until it had enough games that I wanted to play.

When the PS3 has enough games that I want to play, I'll buy it. And, when it has rumble. And in-game XMB.

I dont know about all this "cow" business, but if the PS3 launched and delivered on its hype, I would gladly have a PS3 in my possession (and would have paid the launch price for it!!!). I dont have a problem being a manticore when the systems are equal and compliment each other (i.e. Genesis, SNES), but when a system outclasses the other when it comes down to GAMES, it wont see my hard earned dinero.....

I bought a 360 at launch. I would probably have gotten the PS3 instead if it was available and was the same price as the 360.

P.S. I would still be regretting that decision; for as good as the PS3's hardware is, it's software is garbage.

Nope. Considering the 360 had a better line up than the ps3's, was 200 euro cheaper, had a better controller and better online, I don't see why I would pick the ps3. And my 360 hasn't gone rrod yet and I've had it for 2 years so I personaly can't use that as an excuse at this point (in the future... who knows).

Sooo no, I'd still buy a 360 instead of a ps3.
