Working at Blockbuster I've had a couple people come in asking "wuts that game were u get a halo 3 lvl?? crunchdown? i wnt it!". I can't imagine what actual game store employees are enduring. Just wait for the game you want in the first place, dont pay a bunch of money for a demo and a game you dont want. imo anyways.

Well when games are $60 new I think it's wise to be careful of what you buy now. Who wants to waste money on something they aren't really sure about or having second thoughts on, especially if you part of the reason you were getting it was to get into the beta of another game and not completely for the game you were buying?
I almost pre-ordered after playing the demo, but then I realized I could just keep the demo and never have to buy the game and do all that retarded gang lord crap.

Hell yeah man, you said it. Don't follow the crowd, get what YOU like. I think it looks pretty damn cool.
Not only that, the game doesn't come out for...what, a week? I smell something very fishy, myself. And the fact that the reviewer is known to post many discrepencies in his reviews, as well, takes credibility away from the review. I would strongly suggest you wait until it comes out, rent it and see for yourself.

i pre order it for halo 3 demo. but then i felt 70 dollars is to expensive for game that i wont even play. any ways, why does my opinion even matter to you any ways? im just wondering if any one else cancelled their pre orders.
I've cancelled. It's just that I'd rather not spend 60+ on it when I can rent it from Gamefly. If I rent it from Gamefly and realize I made a mistake I can always buy it later for cheaper hopefully. Plus I'm not terribly interested in the beta, it's just a nice bonus to me. Meh.
Another factor is I almost always find that I agree with Jeff and can trust him on certain things. The score isn't the deciding factor and it never should be but it certainly factors in greatly when spending that much on a game for me.

Crackdown has mixed reviews. Everyone agrees that it is a fun game. It depends on what you expect from it. Many people loved GTA, but never even attempted the missions. For these people, Crackdown will be great. If you expect a deep linear plot, you won't like this type of game.

I'm going to cancel mine, due to I was really hoping this game would of been awesome. $60 is a lot for a game and I can't afford to spend that on an average game that comes with the Halo 3 beta. I already have the $100 Halo 3 version preordered, no way in hell I'm I going to end up spending $170 (thats with tax) on Halo 3.
I'm amazed at how many people think a 7.8 is a bad score. Myself, I never intended to buy Crackdown, but if I had, I certainly wouldn't change my mind now.

I got used to Saints Row side missions so when I played the demo I felt that the game was too linear. But yeah, people who are looking for a more linear type of gameplay will like the game more.

If you cancel your preorder based on what one person on the internet said, you must live a sad sad life (no offense). I enjoyed the demo, and plan on getting the game because it is appealing and fun to me.
