How many PS3-ONLY owners didn't have a PS2?

It seems to me from all the people that I know who have PS3's, all owned PS2's and were relatively hardcore Sony fanboys. I know many more casual PS2 owners who switched to the Xbox 360, and what I find alarming is that most of them switched AFTER the PS3 came out. Of course, I also know that just about everyone I know also bought a Wii near launch, yet none of them play it anymore (except for my neighbor's 8-year old son). So I don't really care about who owns a Wii since we pretty much all do.

Last gen I had an Xbox, Gamecube, and PS2. PS2 did get the most play time out of all those consoles though. I have more PS2 games(55), than Xbox games(24), and Gamecube games 18.

Stayed loyal and got a PS3 because of games like God of War, Ratchet, Jak and Daxter, Twisted Metal, Final Fantasy, Dark Cloud, and Team ICO games would only be available on PS3 at some point in its lifespan. Yes FFXIII went multi, but without a doubt the PS3 version will overshadow the 360 version and it'll probably be better in some way and Vs. is still PS3 exclusive. I also bought my PS3 after my 360.WhiteKnightXIII

translation: I bought a Ps3 for FF13 and now I'm using excuses to approve of my purchase?

Whoever didn't have a PS2 last gen isn't a real gamer. That doesn't mean Gamecube or Xbox were bad (I have an Xbox), but PS2 is one of the greatest consoles in history.

Also, yeah the 80 gig is gimped, but it plays like 90% of PS2 games.

Cant get it in Europe (here I'm from) and the prices in America are ridiculous. Might as wellget a 360, 60gisg are impossible to find and Sony have phased out BC altogether.

Yeah they both share pretty bad game droughts. No doubt the PS3 will last longer. To be honest I bought one for 2010 and beyond. My 360 is getting my time for now.
