every piece of geometry on the cheif is the exact same as the e3 trailer, same with the lighting, draw distance etc.
the only change was the textures on the cheif, which was a design choice because they didnt want him looking like he was made of concrete. :|
The draw distance, particle effects, and polygons are not anywhere near the 05 trailer.
the draw distance is still the exact same, 10 miles. and he polygons are the exact same. the clouds have improved and look better. gotta link to say otherwise? cause i can dig up the weekly update that confirms every one of my points. Oh, I can get links with developers saying a lot of things that make their games sound great. Just going by what I see. Just like KZ doesn't meet it's initial trailer, neither does Halo 3.That would be all well and good if the Halo 3 trailer was just a trailer. But it isn't.
It's a cutscene. It's in the game. And, as always, Halo cutscenes are in engine. So, the texture for the chief will probably have changed, but that "trailer" is still in the game (as far as we know. May have been cut now, but seems unlikely) and for all intents and purposes going to blend in.
