Capcom needs to recoup some money from RE4 flopping so hard on the PS2. They're counting on sheep to make up for cows disinterest in good games.

Well its capcom's fault for making a move like that. just like Killer 7, viewtiful joe, going to the ps2. Now Just okami for ps2? it would look alot better on GC if you ask me.

Ya unoriginal, like actually getting to swipe the knife and pushing off the zombies and picking loks and doing the puzzzles with the stylus. Using the Mic to talk to your CPUs, WiFi, new Multiplayer and abunch of smaller features. See unlike the PSP, DS actually does something with their "ports" if you can call them that.

Maybe it's my imagination, but I remeber reading somewhere that this game was going to be playable through the 1st person point of view.  Wouldn't that make the gameplay more like that of RE4 (much better than the gameplay of the previous games in the series)?  Yet the in-game screenshots show everything from a 3rd person view.  I don't care if it technically is a remake of RE1.  If the gameplay is good enough, I'll try it out.  I doubt that will be the case though.

RE4 on PS2 isn't selling that bad. It probably won't meet Capcom's initial expectation of 2 million copies by the end of march, but it should at least do half of that with all of the awards the game is winning (and I've officially decided that the AIAS awards blow casual barf chunks). Many of the hardcore Resident Evil fans already owned GCNs for REmake and RE0, so most of the people buying the PS2 version are new to the series, so it might take a while to gain serious steam.

And although I own both versions of RE4, I prefer the PS2 version. Why? Because it has more content. "Oh, but teh 216 less polygons and teh 15 less trees in teh backdrop!" is not a compelling enough reason to turn my nose up to the Seperate Ways scenario, new weapons, and the "Ashley Armor" which makes Professional Mode much more bearable (plus there's actually incentive to beat it this time). The GCN version looks better. But the few visual perks it has do not outweigh the value of the PS2 version's new features.

I find it very amusing that Nintendo fanboys often resort to using the term "graphics whore" to describe other fanboys, and yet with Resident Evil 4 they claim that the GCN version's graphics automatically make it superior, even though the PS2 version has a signifigant ammount of added content.

You are correct when you say the PS2 one is better, obviously better gameplay, the only Nintendo fans that say it is better are the ones who dont know much about it or like graphics stupidly over gameplay. I think it did better on the GC because like the market is today everyone cares about graphics and the controller is more compatible for the game.

Wow, what a surprise, sheep changing the hype.

When this was announced you guys went crazy, on and on you went, touch screen knifing, multiplayer, 'The originals the best!', PSP = no RE, etc etc.

Now, no-ones hyping it at all.

I'd like to play the Seperate Ways scenario but I have the GC version, what it all about?

I might just borrow it for the PS2 of my friend and play it.
