They both have that 1920s-1950s feel to it that I really liked in Bioshock, I'm thinking of getting Fallout 3 for the PS3. Does it really have as many glitches as the critics say? How good is it exactly, I'm getting it at Circuit City for $44 is it worth it?

They're nothing alike. BioShock is better. With that said, Fallout 3 is still worth buying.

Maybe the only similarity is the emphasis on old music and a lot of artwork incorporated in the world of these two games.

You're crazy man! :P While I enjoyed Bioshock, Fallout 3 (for me I should say I guess) is infinitely better!

IMO its oblivion gameplay on bioshock environment! If you like that combo, go for it!

Bethesda makes a lot of dumb design choices. Fallout 3 is infinitely better than Oblivion, but still not as good as it could've been.

95.3% (Average) > 92.6% (average). ;)

Fallout 3 has way more content in comparison to many games on the market. But when we compare it to Oblivion, the game screams for more. I love it, and have spent 50+ hours with Fallout 3.

IMO, Fallout 3 > Bioshock.

I have yet to see more than a tiny, inconsequential glitch in the PS3 version. If I were you I'd get Fallout now and Bioshock later.

Comes down to really whether you prefer RPGs or shooters. Only thing they have in common is poor gun play. And that's one of the reasons Fallout3 is so much better, it doesn't rely on shooting that much thanks to it being a RPG and having VATS. It's also open world while Bioshock is rather linear.

If you have a 360 get it for that. Anyways about the only similarity is that they're in similar time periods. Thats it.

Fallout three is the second best game of the year IMO (with MGS4 being #1). It is glitchy, but not enough to keep you from enjoying the game. It's easily the best RPG of the year, and you'll probably get at least 60 hours out of it during your first run (I clocked in at 62).

IMO, Fallout 3 > Bioshock.

Yup same here, I enjoyed Bishock but FO3's lasting appeal and detail owns Bio.

Two very different games as far as scale. Both are basically shooters though, very good ones.

Ummm...No, BioShock depicts alternate timeline of the past, while Fallout 3 takes place in year 2277, so there's 300 years of gap between them.

Other than music from the same period (Fallout's soundtrack was more eclectic than Bioshock's too, although I like Bioshock's better) and the rpg systems (the games have very different ones, I might add) the games are not at all similar. Both fantastic titles though, and I'd highly recommend both. Bioshock, if you're looking for something fresh, is the way to go. But if you're a fan of Fallout and/or you loved Oblivion, you'll probably enjoy Fallout 3. I personally like Bioshock more, but of course it's up to you to make the decision.
