You might as well buy a real guitar and an amp, and have much more fun. I wish I had the hands for the guitar :( How I'd love to play the amazing melodies of Bodom and Wintersun.JocktheMotie
ok, but how much is it going to cost?
with all the stuff you need, i can imagine it being a little bit priceyREforever101
it's somewhere between 100 and 200 USD

Mostly likely you will see that priced at 200$.
what a ripoff, I hope this game flops hard in sales and reviews. And looking at the price it probably will. Hasn't anybody learned from the PS3 that people don't like buying expensive ,overprice crap?jack_russel
well i guess that4 million people hate that overpriced crap...seeing as how they bought it...
but i really dont like the gh battle mode with all those dumb powerups, thats why this game looks so much better musicwise (the who!) and also with drums, so thats kind of cool

not really, it's about right on target. overpriced = low sales.how much did it sale after the price drop? ...oh okay.so you would consider the ps2 at a year to be an overpriced expensive piece of crap, because a year in its about the same sales as the ps3

if ur talking about the ps3 price drop...shouldnt you be happy that its not overpriced anymore! its practically the same as the 360 elite but with 1.3 hdmi and mgs4!

srry? what are you talking about...
I'm talking about how people usually don't buy stuff thats too expensive. The PS2's huge sales numbers didn't happen untill it had multiple price drops. The same thing is happening with the PS3 and hopefully rockband.[QUOTE="jack_russel"][QUOTE="p2rus"][QUOTE="jack_russel"][QUOTE="p2rus"][QUOTE="jack_russel"]what a ripoff, I hope this game flops hard in sales and reviews. it's the same price it always was $500 for the cheap one $600 for the premium one. It was that way at launch. It's still over priced. Espically when it's competition is anywhere from $150-$250 cheaper than it is. Thats a huge gap.[QUOTE="p2rus"][QUOTE="jack_russel"][QUOTE="p2rus"]how much did it sale after the price drop? ...oh okay.so you would consider the ps2 at a year to be an overpriced expensive piece of crap, because a year in its about the same sales as the ps3

from what I understand so far it's not expensive at all.
The game is $60, and you can use your Guitar Hero guitar if you have the 360 version (dunno about ps3), and you can also use your 360 mic if you want (also not sure about ps3 bluetooth mics). So technically if you had either of those and didn't want to play drums the game would only cost you $60.
You can also buy the full set (guitar, drums, mic, game I assume) for $200 which averages out to $50 an item. Considering that guitar hero 3 is going to cost 1/2 that w/ just the guitar I have a feeling most gamers will opt for Rock Band since it's alot for a little bit more.
I'm assuming you don't need to buy every thing to play the game, so if you bought the game, and had a Mic for your 360 then you wouldn't need to buy everything else along w/ it if you didn't want it. Really you think everybody is going to use the drum set unless they already play drums, or get the short straw for multiplayer.

It's compettion is the xbox 360. The core and premium models are stealling market share from sony too.[QUOTE="jack_russel"][QUOTE="p2rus"]wii and 360are both over 11 mil. so yes, 4 million does equal barely.4 million =/= barely

the core model is a joke, talk about ripping off customers. and for its contents, i wouldnt consider it overpriced. im not going to break down the cost to a consumer of buying each feature seperatley but its more than 500.

yea, the core is a horrible value. But the 360 is still selling more than the PS3, and it's no coincidence that it happens to be cheaper.[QUOTE="jack_russel"][QUOTE="p2rus"][QUOTE="jack_russel"][QUOTE="p2rus"]wii and 360are both over 11 mil. so yes, 4 million does equal barely.4 million =/= barely

The wii sales so well because it is only $250. Which is my point in the beggining, nobody buys expensive, overpriced crap.[QUOTE="p2rus"][QUOTE="jack_russel"][QUOTE="p2rus"][QUOTE="jack_russel"][QUOTE="p2rus"]wii and 360are both over 11 mil. so yes, 4 million does equal barely.4 million =/= barely

Way to contradict yourself, I'll buy a wii if it hits $120. They should've just made an aftermarket Game Cube controller with waggle and sold it for 30 bucks.

I don't think $250 isn't overpriced for a wii. I don't think $250 isn't overpriced for a wii. But I geuss thats just an opinion...THAT EVERYBODY AGREES WITH.A good part of that 11 million sold are people that have no clue about games or the difference between the systems. I've had people tell me the wii is next gen because it is high definition. Hmm. Selling to the ignorant masses does not mean it is not overpriced, it means they did a good job advertising what it is, and not telling anyone what it isn't. It's like this: let's say you have a bicycle for $500 and a motorcycle for $900. Now let's say you are selling to a target audience who doesn't understand motors and just sees two 2-wheel vehicles, you obviously aren't gonna explain it to em if you are the guy selling the bicycle. So they buy the cheap one. It sells more. That doesn't mean it's not overpriced. It just means you are ripping off a lot more people.

you could argue that the 360 and PS3 are rippoffs too (and believe me, sheep do). value is in the eye of the beholder, and if you go by the sales numbers people don't think the wii is a rippoff, cause they're buying it.Please Log In to post.
