Seriously, MS is so much larger than both Sony and Nintendo combined it's not even worth comparing.
Nintendo = 15 million ?!?!?!? you kiddin' me ? it's worth a lot more than that !
"Nintendo's net sales (nothing to do with this here internet) for this fiscal year, which ends on March 31st, 2007, are forecast to be US$6.378 billion, while net profits (after the taxmen have taken their pieces of the sumptuous pie) for this financial year are expected to total US$862 million. That's quite a lot of money."

MS annual revenue: 58 billion. Profit 12 billion. Margin of profit, 21%
Sony annual revenue, 80 billion +, profit 1.5 billion. Margin of profit,
MS - 284 billion
Sony- 55 billion

I think MS has enough money to give every man, woman, and child on earth 100 dollars and still be able to wipe their ass with money.

OMG your right, Dang that dude is LOADED. 68.8 billion. He could buy Sony lol I wonder if he wants another son?http://philip.greenspun.com/WealthClock
2006:
Sony : $89.3 billion in total assets
Nintendo : $9.8 billion in total assets
Microsoft : $66.4 billion in total assets
Info comes from www.capitaliq.com balance sheets (rough estimates but you get the picture).
Oh and if you dont have a capIQ account you can't access this info, sorry.
As of the time of this post.
Microsoft is worth: $238.78 billion :http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=MSFT
Sony is worth: $37.31 billion :http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=SNE
Nintendo is worth: $37.17 billion :http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=NTDOY.PK
Microsoft is worth a lot more than Sony and Nintendo combined, probably because they make a lot more profit than Sony and Nintendo combined. Assets and liabilities are secondary to profitability, or net income. People complain about MS not having enough first-party studios, maybe they could buy Sony or Nintendo...
That's revenue not value. MS = $238,784,000,000 Sony = $38,786,000,000 Nintendo = $38,590,000,000I heard that it goes like this

Now THIS is a brainwashed cow.
Really? then what is this:Bill gates alone could write a check from his personal account and buy sony if he wanted to. microsoft is worth infinity.CrazyIvanIV??
How is MS' assets worth so much more than Sony's when Sony's revenue is much higher ? :o
hd5870corei7
Companies are not worth the amount of their assets, in fact there is no direct correlation between assets and company value. Assets are simply tools to make products to make money, but assets incur liabilities (debt) so more assets is not always a good thing. Revenue by itself is not that important. Let me give you an example:
Say you want to make a TV and sell it to make money, you call people who make plastic, chips and so on and tell them to sell you the materials that you will use to make a TV and then you'll pay them (say $500). They give you the materials, you make the TV which you sell for $1000, you've made $1000 in revenue but only $500 in profit because you have to pay your suppliers the other $500.
So yes, Sony does make more revenue but they make less profit because they have higher costs. In the end, it's profit that matters, because profit is the money that stays in the company.
