Well, let's see...here we are in mid-February and I've bought 5 games (GH3, Oblivion GOTY, UT3, Rock Band, No More Heroes) a 40GB PS3, an NVidia 8800gt, and a 42" HDTV.
Last year I easily went over $1000 since I bought a Wii a PS3 and a number of games. The PS3 on release day in the Eu with two games added up to 720 Euro's which is around $1015. So there you have it. This year I think I might hit $1000 as well. Already bought a DS for 150E, and games totalling about 250E which is $350 and it's only february. My next purchase will be FFVII FFVIII and FFIX together for 80E or $112
most years not too much as I buy only a handful of games, usually end up returning gifted games for games I prefer, and refuse to be milked for online fees/repair fees

I still have some unopened PS2 RPG's that are in my "getting around to it" pile.
