How much of a good player are you at Multiplayer games?

In high school I'd say I was great. Now I'd probably say average.

Rocket League is the only MP game in a long time I've strived to be good at. I'm still trash though.

@mjorh: I play Conquest almost exclusively. I like maps with a good balance of infantry and vehicles or slightly catering more towards infantry. Zavod 311 is really good.

Once upon a time I'd have confidently rated myself an 8 or even a 9 but that was when I was playing competitively and didn't really play any other games but Day of Defeat and RtCW with a clan. These though, I'm old and slow and pretty much sit at around a 6.

I was really good at MGS4 online, NBA2K11 online and UC 2/3 online.

I'm really good at NBA2K16 online and I was really during the Uncharted 4 Beta.

Average-ish, mostly play to relax when I have some free time. Can't be bothered with games that require a lot of practice (fighters, etc.) or grinding because it ends up feeling like work.

I'm a 3 and do not care LOL

I'm the Peter Brock (google him) of racing games, have a few no1 times on a few racing games last i checked, but suck at shooters, well except for Red Faction Guerrilla & Qauntum of Solace :)

I'm at about a 90% win rate online, but offline is a completely different matter. My local competitive scene knows what they're doing.

i haven't got the DLCs so haven't played Silk Road. Golmud is great!

Varies a lot depending on the game.

Game I'm best at is probably Red Orchestra 2. I'm a pretty good marksman so the slower pace and bolt action rifles are very good for me. I can literally win a game for my team sometimes if I'm playing Squad Leader 1 because I can get into a good position and people can spawn on me, and I put down great arty markers. Sometimes I'll be #1 on my team with 0 kills (though my K/D is over 2 overall). I'm pretty garbage at twitch shooters like Call of Duty and CS:GO though. Decent at Battlefield.

Also like to think I'm pretty good at RTT games like Company of Heroes, World in Conflict etc. Awful at Starcraft.

I'd put myself at a 5. I'm not a competitive player. I'll play for the fun of it, but I'm not going to devote a lot of hours to getting good online. If I lose, I can still have fun with it. Co-op play is what I really like to do.

I am alright at online games. Good enough to enjoy them but shitty enough to not win often. Haha. I mostly play single player games.

I mostly suck at FPS games but give me a TPS and I'll get that good and help you win matches.

the only game i play online, and play rarely, is trackmania and i tend to be pretty average. mid field at the end of each race (though i did win one once \o/). i'm not bing into the whole online gaming thing.

but im playing GTA5 and its frightening how bad i am with shooting people with a mouse and keyboard at the moment. some things have happened that could be memes...that bad. literally dumb and dumber type bad at the moment. its been so long since i played a game involving shooting that im just really really rusty. so for FPSs i can tall you i would be bottom of the table.

superhot is proving useful in relearning how to hit a target :P.

@mjorh: for the record i used to be a lot better. its just been...god....i cant even remember the last game i played where i actually had to aim and shoot with accuracy. i played the campaign for BF4 maybe 18 months ago. i wasnt a legend or anything but i could hold my own. lots of MK8, xenoblade, witcher 3 and other games where i dont shoot anything since then.

that's my excuse and i'm sticking to it :P.

on GTA5 i have to admit it's not really grabbing me. i'm not that far into it so maybe itll pick up but it's just a bit meh at the moment. there was one great mission involving a boat where i couldnt stop laughing but thats about it.

In Destiny? i am what they call a hardcore/sweaty player, if you go against me or my clan in crucible (PVP) you wont stand a single chance, playing against me will make you rage quit the game

Bit of a scrub. I like to make things unnecessarily difficult or interesting. I like toying with my prey. I don't mind dying as much as I should. And that makes me perform worse than I could. Still I am often around the top of the charts so I vote very good.

Pretty mediocre by modern standards.

A game like Insurgency, can do alright and mostly keep up. Dots 2, just end up sucking and being a pain in the ass to the rest of the team.

I'm at least 25% better than this guy ^^^, probably closer to 50% better XD

What I want to say: It varies from game to game

What it really is: I used to be very good at multiplayer stuff, but after years of barely playing a mp game I have become closer to average. Specifically average at games with actual depth. Give me the shallower stuff ala Titanfall, Uncharted multiplayer, or something like that I'll look great, better than great. But that's the Peyton Manning effect. Yeah you're fantastic against the Jaguars, but against a playoff defense? A bit different.

I have made more of an effort the last year or two to get back into multiplayer. Halo 5 and Unreal Tournament took some adjusting to, and it's not like the old days, but I got it to a respectable level at least. Rocket League I had a blast with. Splatoon I was goodish at, but this kid I play with was dramatically better than me.

In PvP in my younger years I was the Ace but these dayzz I'm older and a disgrace. " SP runs away crying " :P

Now? I suck. I quit MP back in 2009. Otherwise, I wouldn't be heard from here.

But, I was okay back in my Doom/Quake/Duke Nukem 3D/ BF1942/BF2 days. I'd occasionally win a deathmatch among the group I was in. Most of the time, it's 3rd place or midpack.

Well, i guess as you grow up you tend to play less Multiplayer games.
