I wouldn't say it was a mistake but the problems they had with the blu ray diode production that delayed the release of the ps3 was there main 'mistake'.

I know my cousin turned on his ps3 and he immediatly went into depression and i cant spell and then we had to get him depression pills and it went down from there and i made a buffet with it

Dang... Where's the timeline when you need it.:P

1. Price.

2. Not taking Nintendo and Microsoft seriously.

3. Thinking the success and customers of the PS2 would automatically transfer to PS3.

4. Lack of quality exclusives, especially at launch.

5. Intentionally making the PS3 difficult and expensive to develop for.

6. Removing BC.

7. Instead of giving the consumer what they wanted they tried to force the consumer to buy what they wanted them to want.

8. Saying that some games are only possible on PS3 only to watch those same games get multiplatform announcement later. (FF13, Tekken 6)

9. Ingnoring casual (whatever that means) and female gamers while loosing money only to try and play catch up once they saw how profitable it was for Microsoft and Nintendo.

10. Thinking that most people that wern't technophiles or hardcore gamers would invest in HD televisions before 2009.

Well, one big mistake was pricing the cheapest PS3 at $500 when it launched...Doolz2024
