How much would the wii sell if...

But I'll endulge you tc. You mean you think that the wii's appeal is all price? Well that's wrong. The wii is not only the most inexpensive console out there, it is also the most desired console. So sales for the wii would be worse in your hypothetical, it would not have overtaken the 360's userbase, but it would be keeping pace with the 360 and ps3 on a month to month basis

The reason the Wii and DS sell are because it is the cheap alternative to the 360/PS3/PSP.

at $249.99 (Canadian) It is a steal.

The history of Wii would have been an entirely different story. Current gen gaming systems in each generation become even more popular when there is sufficient games and the price point hits that sweet spot for gamers.
