How pathetic is sony? CGI now in their commercials

any1 see the drakes fortune commercial. They use cgi but try to make it look like a game at the same time to trick people into thinking the ps3 is actually that powerful.

To be fair though, Bungie made sure people knew it would be a CGI trailer. There was no representing it as actual gameplay

It's obvious they use both in the drakes fortune commercial. They start off with obvious cgi and then show you some gameplay bits at the end before it goes back to that black, Robot Circus lookin' thing.

It's about as much gameplay as you see in most other video game commercials.

Companies have been doing that for awhile now (ex. Call of Duty 3, and the ads for it getting pulled in Britain because of "misleading advertising")SpaceMatt

I remember back in the N64 days when the Super Smash Brothers (the original) commercial came on, and it was real people in character suits fighting. Now that was a misleading commercial ;)

Well, maybe the fact that the first half of the commercial was live-action might've been a bit of a tip-off that it didn't represent actual gameplay...

Actually a few friends of mine all knew it was CGI (and because of Halo 3's popularity), the info spread like wild-fire.

if i was a ps3 owner and saw that commercial i would go out and buy the game based on that misrepresentation. So yes, it is a big deal.

Cows are now acting like every single dev is using cgi? hardly any of them do. Most of the video game commercials are on comedy central and very rarely do i see cgi.

there is a reason that the graw devs had to make an apology to prevent class action because a lot of people expected the cgi they saw in the commercials

Even then, usually you can easily tell if its cgi. Thats not the case here

sony has been lying about the ps3 since day 1 trying to convince people that the ps3 is actually powerful even though it not. They deliberately try to trick you here and its very obvious
