Burnout Revenge, Madden 07, Madden 06, Fifa 07, FFXI,and Gun are just some examples of how when the 360 first released devs. had a hard time porting games to the 360 because of its new tech. leading to the 360 recieving INFERIOR ports from the PS2s library. Did this mean that the PS2 would always have the best multiplats or that the 360 would always recieve the inferior multiplats, no of course not. Devs just needed time with the new system to optimize games to run with this new hardware and when they did the 360s multiplats began to outshine the PS2 versions very easily.

Fifa 08, NBA Street, Darkness, Tiger Woods, Oblivion, Rainbow six, NBA 2k8, Dirt, NHL 08,and Ghost Recon 2 are also someexamples of games that are either exactly like its 360 counter part or better. Yet for some reason MS fans love ignore these and just claim that the 360 will ALWAYS get the better version of a game and ignore the same exact growing pains their system went through during its early life cycle.

Basically my point is that devs have said time and time again that the PS3 is harder to dev for then the 360 but that doesnt mean that the 360 is EASY to dev for, just EASIER. Devs have also said that the though the PS3 is harder to dev for Sony has offered more helpful tools and the PS3 is easier to dev for then the PS2. And we all know how few good 3rd party games the PS2 got...right. In the end both systems are so similiar power wise that as devs become more familiar with the PS3 like they are slowly becoming it wont be any suprise to see the same score for multiplats between the 360 and PS3.

and that matters how?? Its not like after 6 months every dev automatically is suppossed to be an expert on the system, each dev has varied experience with a system but after around 12 months most devs have had at least some sort of experience with the system.

That fact that you didnt read is just sad in a way really...I already listed games that have the same score as the 360 or higher. I was saying that further in the future as devs have more time with the system it wont even be a debate anymore that multiplats will be the same on both system.

Never mind. I thought for some reason that the PS3 was still getting inferior versions of ports, but I can't tell anymore with the new scoring system, otherwise my point WOULD have been (but now is not) that it's been past six months since the PS3's launch. But never mind.

FFXI wasn't really a bad port.SE just released it like 4 years after people then played it on PC. as for OBLIVION being better on ps3. IMO i don't think so. yeah the load time and graphics are crisper but thats it. we have all the expandtion while ps3 are still left out in the cold.and graw 2 and rainbow six please.

360 never had inferior ports from the PS2 library. What are you talking about. The Madden and Ea Sports games werent ports and everything that was a port was still better on 360 (though not good enough). Now that we have two systems on supposedly equal ground with the same game on both the games should be about the same quality. And dont even say developers need more time. They've had enough.

What the hell was wrong with Burnout Revenge? It was excellent..It sure as hell was better than Ridge Racer 7.

I'll take crappy ports like that anytime.

??? Are you joking or did you just not look at the scores correctly. If I recall the 360 version of Burnout Revenge got an 8.8 and the PS2 version got the editors choice of 9.1. And another more dramatic one was FFXI on the 360 getting a 6.0 while the PS2 version got a 8.0.

now out of the games that look better on the ps3, how many were released at the same time? and your opinion on what games look better doesn't count either.

Look at paragraph two, the PS3 is ALSO getting mutliplats just as good or better then the 360 version. Inferior ports are depandant on the devs ability, skill and time put on the game and the system the game is for. These factors vary from dev company to dev company which is why we can have games like Darkness, and Fifa scoring the same on the PS3/360 and then you can have games like Fear.

While Burnout Revenge might not have enough new stuff in it to drag you back in if you've been playing it on other platforms, this is definitely the version to get if you're shopping around (aka teh best version). hey man i can't say anything about burnout revenge. again SE released FFXI 4 years after the game was out on PC and ps2. look at halo 2 for the xbox and then look at the score for the PC version. unless they were going to make major upgrades to the game. it got a low score.

The "(aka teh best version)" is your interpretation. Overall the score is in favor of the PS2 version as well as the extra featrues. If you're shopping around is his personal opinion but overall the scores were done differently then and when they weighed the game up to their system it didnt meet the expectations.

Basically the PS2 version was a AAA and the 360 version was an AA.

In the end both systems are so similiar power wise that as devs become more familiar with the PS3 like they are slowly becoming it wont be any suprise to see the same score for multiplats between the 360 and PS3.

all those ports were superior on the xbox 360, especially Burnout Revenge. You just self-owned yourself.

Who got self-owned???

on FFXI he did....

On Burnout Revenge:

"

While Burnout Revenge might not have enough new stuff in it to drag you back in if you've been playing it on other platforms, this is definitely the version to get if you're shopping around (aka teh best version). It delivers solid, fast action, both online and off, and is easily the fastest, most exciting racing game available on the Xbox 360."

U did.

U said it urself...they're scored differently. Hence the 360 version had higher standards than the ps2 version. Since the score was closer to teh ps2 version, tehy said teh graphics are gameplay were better, beasically tells u if it wasnt fro teh higher standards for the 360, it's teh better version. Seriously if it wasnt why would they say if it's teh version to shop around if u havent played it?
